Hey guys, I'm new here and I hope my question is in the right place!

I recently bought a E93 2008 330i Convertible. All ok at the moment except for about 4 weeks now every time I lock the car (from the key or the handle) it gives a loud beeping sound for about 1,5sec. It is not a clear sounding beep like an alarm beep but a cracking one, more like a small motor somewhere has lost its gear's teeth and spins empty if you know what I mean. I feel like it comes from glove compartment or close to that. The sound is loud enough to hear well even if locking doors roof closed and already walking away from the car. The sound only comes when locking, not when opening.

E93 has an electronically locking glovebox - I’d check the actuator in the glove box lock to see if its gears are stripped.
