Perth: lead on a place to do DIY PE mod

Folks of Perth,

If anyone is interested in having the DIY PE mod done to their exhaust, the place I had mine done is happy to do the modifications for anyone on the forum. The price is good and I can vouch for both the quality of work and the improvement in sound after the mod...

PM me if you want any more info.

Craig

Will hear how it sounds this Sat and decide.
For the meantime, please pm me the price that they charged you if you don't mind? Just want to have a budget in mind.

I wouldn't be paying more than $300, all they are doing is making it straight through isn't it?

Better off getting some straight pipes made up with 4 inch tips and having the stock exhaust to fall back to

I got mine done with cutting mufflers and replacing with straight pipe then stuffing the mufflers with fiberglass packing so it isn't so raspy and then sealing it up. Paid 300, worth every penny.

Anyone who is paying 700-800 for a BMW PE mod is seriously getting ripped off

Seems like some of these guys who quoted a bit more, just want to raise their price up because it's tedious work... still want someone from Vic for around 300-400!

I paid $400 which I consider to be a fair price. Parts cost is low but it took a fair few hours and is completely undetectable one reinstalled.

If you are there on Saturday I can gove out the details, else PM me.

Definitely interested, want to hear how it sounds first.
I assume your car is stock without catless DP?

Yep, PE mod and MHD only. Plus golf tee mod but that's a given.

Will be interested to hear this tomorrow. Mine is quite loud on cold start up with catless dump and golf tee mod. Once its warm its nice. I imagine on cold start it'll be reasonably loud.

yeah mine has got a fair bit louder on cold start without upgraded DP's.

I figure once I get to that position I'll just enable the cold start noise reduction feature if the noise is overbearing (for the wife...)

MHD stage 1?
I haven't got MHD yet but I guess the exhaust won't have huge difference if you haven't changed to a catless DP?
