Does the absence of inter-cooler harm boost in ESS SC? Basically from what I've read centrifugal SC on e90 328 (like the one used in ESS SC) roughly do 6-7psi boost at max rpm, but can do same hp/tq gain on half-rpm from the max if equipped with inter-cooler. Overall making more boost from low-end and making thus more streetable power. I may be wrong of course, it's just what I've read so far

P.S. Some article said that for every 1psi it's roughly 14 degrees F air temp rises. So basically for 6-7psi at max rpm air temp is above 100 degrees - add to that ambient air temp and you have quite hot air - thus low efficiency and lower boost than possible with intercooler, no?

ESS said the next level upgrade for this kit will include an intercooler and more boost. Not sure what else. Current boost peak doesn't hit enough consistently to make an enormous continuous temperature change. I'm assuming for track use it is a must as-is.

beauty of centrifugal is intercooler not required, cuz supercharger is not in contact with engine or exhuast heat. cooling intake air with same temp air outside, it wont do any good, it will still be at same temp.

also more boost and extra hoses can leak eventually, more harder to maintain.

Sorry but this is largely inaccurate. Every time you compress air it gets heated and that level of heat exponentially increases as boost pressure increases which is when a form of intercooling is required to cool the charge. The only reason this kit doesn't come with one is because it is a low boost system. I'm sure there are a few ponies left on the table with this system not including an intercooler but as mentioned the additional hardware would add substantial costs.

Well a meth kit would be a cheap way and achieve the same thing as the IC. No dealing with extra piping and potential boost leaks. Install meth + up the boost = smiles.

Hence my general statement

Hello,

does anyone have finally find the "mysterious" Bosch injectors P/N from the ESS SC N52 kit?

I would like to upgrade my injectors (higher rate flow) in order to use Éthanol E85.

Thank you for this information.

Best regards.

I think they are E92 M3 injectors
