N55 hybrid turbo
Hello evryone
Could you boast of your turbochargers? What turbo, what modifications, what car. I am thinking about upgrade my turbo and would like to know what results to expect. Especially e-series pwg. Car: Dyno: 100-200kmh: 60-130mph: 1/4mile: Is the upgrade of a compressor in the N55 more or less the same as the stock in the n54? Thanks |

2011 e92 RWD, Pure Stage 2 V2, FBO (most of the mods I have in my X1 list), methanol injection. Played around with E30 and race fuel.
Didn't dyno when setup. Did put down 430whp when not dialed in. This wouldn't be an accurate representation of what the car was making in the end. 1/4 mile in signature 2014 e84 X1 35i, mods in signature, planning to only run pump gas on this car as the TT RS will be the fast vehicle. I suspect I will be in the low 12's high 11's in the low to mid 110's. The N55 stock turbo is worse off then the N54 turbos so I would say it is absolutely worth the upgrade. The real question is how much is enough for your goals, should you move to a full frame kit "stage 3"

Now my car make 1/4mile 12.8s 98RON
100-200kmh 10.27s on E30. I want make 8.5s-9s 100-200 on 98RON like 335is with n54 and stock turbos. Pure stage 2 is to expensive for me, on my country this setup is overpriced.. cost 2.5x more from local turboshop. |
