Red TPMS collar installation?

I bought a set of red TPMS valve stem collars. Can I just unscrew the ones that are on the wheels and screw on my new red ones? Or, does the tire have to come off and the TPMS sensor taken off to do this? Thanks!

could you please post the image of the part you trying to replace?

little tricky but yeah. you don't want to drop the stem so you always have a hold on it somehow while you slide the old collar and new collar on. I would deflate the tire and rotate the rim so the stem is at the top 1st.

Are you talking about the hex nut? I wouldn't recommend it, but as long as the tire has pressure in it you can remove the hex nut, the TPMS module and valve stem will stay in place, and you can screw a new hex nut on. However, the hex nuts that secure the valve stem require pretty specific torque figures, too much and you risk breaking the valve stem or the TMPS module itself, depending on what kind it is. Too little, and you will create a leak.

You're in Southern California, go to your nearest Discount Tire and they will be able to do it properly for you. You shouldn't really mess with this yourself, without the proper tools or knowledge.
