Not really because I don't care about max, any driver or team - im here for the engineering involved, and I'm just responding to what you guys say. The speed advantage thing was a major talking point for you guys last year to discredit Lewis, so if that was the case then the same precedent holds now, funny how the goal posts shift when it comes to your guy being on top due to top speed isn't it?

But it has been shown Lewis lives rent free in the minds of the mega max fans here with how much you post about him and his attire, literally every detail of his life you will post about him. Whereras I only bring max up as a counter argument.

It's not really luck. It was a calculated scenario, all Russel's idea spoken through the radio. And it payed off.
A sc scenario is a real possibility, especially on a street circuit; the wall, difficult to clear the track from debris etc.

And it's not only between Max and Charles, but also between RB and Ferrari.
No more dirty games trying to influence the FIA to change rules, putting pressure on other teams that use your engines to vote against your competitor etc etc. (I think this is more a Merc thing than a Ham thing though)

F1 got so much better this year

Redbull had far more protests than mercedes so yeah... You can even look at the regulation changes, there were far more things taken from merc than from redbull.

Max metronomic drive today.

LEC did the best he could with a top speed deficit.

Sainz - meh, forgettable.

Perez - sensor issue but he could have done more with the top speed advantage.

Bottas - Bottas’d it when he saw 44 in his mirrors

Albon - awesome drive, season of redemption.

Stroll - crashed into MAG, zero awareness. He shouldn’t be on the grid.

Vettel - time to retire

Ceremony and post-race stuff of nightmares. What’s with the sirens destroying everyone’s hearing in the stadium walkway, is this a tradition for American racing series? Confused.

I wonder how much of this is a strategic choice.

I mean the top speed of a car is a result of the amount of downforce you're using and the car's power.
The ferrari PU is very powerful. But the Ferrari's run much more wing than the RB's. Therefore they (ferrari) are very fast in the corners. But pay the price on the straights.
So imho partly it's a matter of choice.
But maybe the ferrari's loose grip really fast with less downforce and the RB's don't gain as much with more wing.
But being fast in corners and less fast on straights (and vice versa) makes sense to me and looks like a deliberate choice.
