i used to own one of these:

now that has got to scare the cack out of most robbers assuming they dont have a gun...

perfectly legal to have in the house... not sure how legal it would be to cut of someones legs cuz they were trying to steal your car (it SHOULD be legal, but i doubt it is) - you reckon that is classed as "reasonable force"? :rocks:

punks, i hate them, i genuinly hate them all and would have no reservation absolutely clobbering one with a bat if they came anywhere near my family...

That is indeed a horific story!! It is a very scary thought to think that that could happen in your area.

Unfortunately too, the police seem to have their priorities totally wrong at times.
In this area of the UK (N.I.), thugs can go out and petrol bomb and burn cars and get away with it, but if you are doing 35mph in a 30 zone, you will feel the full force of the law.

A good example of NathanJT's story above.

Carlos, moving to avoid this might be a bit simplistic...it could happen anywhere. Bolster security maybe, get cctv fitted maybe. Depends I suppose on the factor - I've never heard of this happening anywhere near me but I know this kind of thing happens in london and other areas, perhaps more affluent areas?

Awful story, just awful.

I lived in Woking, Surrey, for a good six years. Our house was broken into twice, once when my brother was actually home! He (for some reason) thought it was me coming home from work early. In all reality, some thugs broke into our garden shed, took a shovel and cracked open the rear door to the kitchen. Took all of our keys and whatever they could get their grubby hands on downstairs. Then they moved outside, broke into my brother's Volvo and took his stereo. Oh, and a few of our bikes. All of this with my brother upstairs in his room!

He still says that he wished he would have caught them in the act. However, I'm glad he didn't. I'm not sure if a shovel to the dome would have been worth it.

I live in Worsley in Manchester, which is about the nicest place. Wealthy leafy etc, so wouldnt want to move. Also not letting them wankers scare me really, just worried about the mrs and son.

BTW the cars where a 07 rs4 convertable and a 06 cooper S.

3 years ago an associate of mine was held at gunpoint for his motors!!

if they want my cars they can have em, 20 mins later and either the cops have got um or they have left the car they all got trackers.

also that gun is EXACTLY what i want

Saddest thing: this was at 2pm in the afternoon!!! We lived in a nice street (sold the house now, new owners put a ton of CCTV equipment on it when they bought it) but it at the end of the street there was a path that connected it to some pikey counsil homes about 5 minutes walk. Probably where they came from.
