Thanks!
WedgePerformance does not own MHD Flasher. We only created the OTS maps for the application. So to answer your question, you will need to purchase the application if you plan to switch from COBB to MHD.

With regard to meth control, MHD Flasher is an Android based application and does not have the ability to control meth flow at this time. If you want to transition to flash based tuning solution like MHD Flasher and still have a need for meth control, you have several low to high cost solutions depending on your requirements. AEM, Snow Performance, Aquamist to name a few.

As I state it doesn't have functionality yet, there are always possibility to add functionality in the future. I don't like saying something is not possible as we have found in the past with this platform that's not always true.

Ok, got it. I thought this was a partnership with MHD and Wedge/BQ.

Will dealers be able to detect that this tune was used if the car is flashed back to stock before taking it in?

Looks great. Any work done on guages for in-car viewing while we cruise? If yes, any screenshots?

Also any possibilities for 93 Octane maps as a choice to go alongside the 91 octane maps?

Currently Does Map 2 require or recommend DPs and Intercooler?

Will the maps automatically benefit from higher octane fuel? Would I gain anything by running 100ron with any of the maps shown in the screenshot, which appear to have been designed with 91 in mind?

Just so you know the guys in the US use AKI or (R+M)/2 rating and not RON to measure the octane rating.
So there 91 octane is closer to 95 RON or the 100 RON you get would be closer to 94 AKI.

There is a 91 octane map for stock, a 91 octane FBO and then an E40 map for FBO

I am currently working on the 93 octane map for stock and FBO. It will more likely not be released until we are 100% comfortable with the 91 octane maps

No, the maps are specifically calibrated for the type of fuel and mods it will be runing. The only reason to run more octane is if the referenced fuel is complete crap where you live.

In time there will be more maps to choose from

I cannot guarantee that. That said, the MHD Flasher flashes the ECU with a 100% conform, untouched program (which cannot be said from the other forum flasher). I am not aware of anyone being caught after flashing properly to stock (ie with the MHD Flasher, Cobb uninstall or Winkfp).

No, i am currently working on it as stated in the announcement thread.

Development roadmap during the beta testing month:
  • Monitor module
    • Configurable Gauges
    • Performance Measuring ( mile with trap speed, 0-60 mph, 60-130 mph, 0-100 km/h, 100-200 km/h, 80-250 km/h)
    • Shift lights
  • Flasher module
    • Selective adaptations reset (octane, lambda etc).
  • German translation
  • Screenshots of the application for illustration

If it's an open platform as advertised maps will be plentiful.

There will be tons of maps in the next coming months. As well this isn't just a tool that uses its own flashes, they are made and tweaked in tuner pro. There are tuners out there already with higher octane maps readiliy available that can be used right out of the box already. We are testing the current maps right now. Once this month is over Im going all custom with a Q-logic map.

I have another question for MHD;

How does the logging functionality stack up against the JB4/COBB/OpenFlash?

What sample rate will the logging be done at?

It would be amazing if you develop a logging application HP Tuners style. Real time logging and charting, gauge views and so on. Haven't seen anything like that so far.

I dont know much of the sample rate, I can datalog as much as I want as many times as I want. I have 21 logs on my phone right now. The open flash tablet can only hold 1 datalog at a time, I think the JB4 requires being connected to a pc. This is done all on the phone, its actaully quite nice. It does show the raw data live while logging. No gauges yet but it can be seen at all times. If you were in the passenger seat you can see whats happening as things are going on.

I'm just trying to work out if it's worth getting rid of my OFT.

The sample frequency of the OFT is a little slow so I think it makes pro tuning to log data more difficult. If this new app has a fast logging interval then it would make sense for me to buy it.

If the logging interval is the same or worse than the OFT then I'll stick with the OFT.

Check with Ken he may know since he is pretty familiar with OFT also.

Get rid of the OFT, he uses the same software to make his tunes as OFT. More power capable with the newly unlocked parameters and the ability to datalog more than once without a pc is a feature alone. Let alone you can sell the OFT, buy a tune with this and still pocket a few bucks.

I'm not sure the OFT will be worth selling. If this new flasher is as good as people say then the market will be flooded with defunct COBBs.

I need to find out if the OFT can be sold to a BRZ/FRS owner, I think the hardware is the same.

I think it all comes down to the logging now, everything else seems to have been well covered. If this App can log at a decent interval then it will be the best flashing solution.
