R888Rs + Single Turbo WTQ
Just mounted OEM 351s (8.5 Front, 9 Rear) on my E92. They came with brand new Toyo Proxes 4s (245 35R 19, 275 30R 19). Based on my limited knowledge of wheels & tires, I'm 95% sure these won't hook the +-700whp that my to-be installed ST kit + LSD will produce. Mainly rolls, no launching.
Thanks in advance! |

definitely switch to R888R. You will have to go with 275/35/19 as I think they don't make a 275/30/19 tire. As long as your driving normal, its not bad in the rain. Mind you if this is your daily driver, these tires are loud.

R888R's can hydroplane at pretty lowish speeds, so drive like grandpa in the rain and watch out for large puddles.
The Kumho V70As are probably king of the true R-comp for all round driving . The medium conpound is maybe a bit softer than R888R so similar traction and like R888R they warm quickly but, unlike basically all of the 'summer' tyres they work great in water. Not sure if you can get these easily where you are though? Pretty sure they are treadwear 50. So I treat them as a yearly consumable for the rears on a daily driver that runs 10.7@131mph. They are magic on the front too. |
