2008 E90 Winter Tire/Wheel Fitment Question

My '08 335Xi Sedan has OEM Type 162 wheels (Front: 18x8 ET34 225/40 R18) Rear: 18x8.5 ET37 255/35 R18) wearing Bridgestone DriveGuard tires.

I have been considering fitting winter wheels and tires this season and learned Sunday that my neighbors are moving in a few weeks and are going to sell the winter wheels and tires for their 2017 X3. Purchased from Tire Rack last season, 3k miles, in excellent condition.

My question is: did I luck out and these will fit my E90, or is it a no-go?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Jeff

Highly unlikely would be my guess.

Do they have the wheel info handy? If so, then post the specs here.

Late model BMW SUVs are fitted with massive wheels from the factory and the offsets are probably way off… so if it fits the X3 it would be hard to imagine it fitting the e90

Tough to say without having the specs listed

go next door, look at the back of a wheel, get size/offset.
there's also a hub bore change BMW is doing, I don't know if that x3 is the new bore size or old.
It is larger so you could use hub spacer rings.

the wheels might fit but you will need to get new tires, the 18's on the X3 F25 come with 245/50R18 setup usually , which will change the total size of the setup and will trow off your speedometer and car dynamics.

You will be better off in the wallet and the road to get some square (all four the same) 235/55/17 as I have driven on for many winters. my e90 has staggered 162's in the summer also. I see many good used sets on my local facebook marketplace feed.

Thanks for the responses. They were a no go for my car. I will shop for a square winter wheel/tire setup.
