My 09 Alpine White E90 Build |LATEST: Gloss Black Roof, Angel Eyes + More!

Most Recent Shot 3/12/2016

Build START:
__________________________________________________ __________

Having fun with this car already. Starting up my mod extravaganza, with careful spending of course.

So far Ive done a few things like the ECS Tuning front grille black, looks pretty good:

Part 1:

Before:

Middle of install at my local Auto Zone. Needed some tools.
Right angle tools, ratchet, and I believe it was a T30 Bit Socket. (google it)

Finished install, by this time it was already getting dark:

Better shot the next day:
Noticed the left grille popped out at the bottom, after pulling it off again I noticed the bottom right clip on the new grille was hitting the bumper (closer to the middle) before it could clip in. Had to shave a small piece of the bumper tab for it to clip it. Its not visible, and the oem will still click in.

Blacked out rims, still need a drop and some new rims!

Hood Down:

Still need to work on the rear:
My bumper is cracked (in person) and has some "touch up paint" spots, that drive me nuts.
I might get a new bumper maybe time for an upgrade!

Part 2:

I just purchased two new front splitters, two different styles, going to compare them and see which one I like best and give away the other, if the new owner will cover the shipping! (Only fit the facelift or LCI E90 OEM Bumper) They should be here mid next week.

Stay Tuned!

Semi Part 2: 2/27/15

Got home from work, I got what I wasn't expecting in the mail. It looks more like a front spoiler, its all one piece. Different then originally pictured. My second order is two left and right pieces not one whole piece which I think is going to look better.

Anyway I had a little bit of time to "pre-fit" it on the car.

Looks ok but not exactly the look I was going for. Ill post some new pictures tomorrow morning. Ive thought about maybe spraying it or wrapping it with 3M Vinyl Wrap. Just ideas, might look good.

This one just doesn't fit my style in mind.... Well... I cant wait for the next package!
If anyone wants it for free, pm me.

3/4/2015 Newest Updates will be posted below.

Got my second order is two left and right front pieces.
Installed:

Finally got my roof done in gloss black earlier today.
Looks pretty good.
Sorry for the iphone shots.

Got my roof done.

Inside the shop:

Back Shot:

New Year New Photos: 3/12/16

Replaced the angel eyes with GENSSI Elite Halo Angel Eyes Bulbs;

At night shots:

I have a set of H8's for sale, I didn't notice at the time these are for Xenon Only. One pin is broken easy fix.
PM for details.

As my car sits now:

nice start! good luck with your modding. I have the LCI stock bumper splitters and love them. They add a nice touch. A note though, if you got them off ebay, the paint will chip very easily. I recommend getting 3m clear vinyl to protect them. Wrap them prior to install and you'll have them last for years. My first set only made it one year before i couldn't take it anymore. As soon as winter is over, i'll be putting the new set on after getting them wrapped in clear vinyl.

I work on a marine/air base, I might have to rock one.
I might go for the tow hook plate and maybe get some bumper plugs if I cant think up anything else.

As an Update:

My new splitter is in transit scheduled for tomorrow delivery!
However fed ex tends to deliver late hours in my area, around 7PM.

Tomorrow I'm leaving early in the morning to get my roof wrapped in gloss black, at a local shop (40 mins away). He estimates total cost at around $250 to $300. That's including the door handles in a style of black vinyl.

Not too sure If I really want to do the handles or not. I may just get the roof done and call it a day.

Door handles?? Please don't do the handles...the roof will be perfect. Maybe the mirrors would be a good choice though.

Noted, Black Mirrors will be a clean look.

On a side note, I been researching on the idea for a long time, (Even my previous cars) but this will be my first car Ive ever had any section wrapped.

Question:

On average what would you guys estimate the hours for a shop to get this done. Im going early tomorrow and the shop knows i'm coming in, They are closed now and I didn't think to ask.

Several years ago I had a Civic Si, that I wanted to get the roof done.
Note the Honda Factory Performance Body kit and other touches. Was a decent car for what it was, gas saver.
Not like my 328i is any faster! But its the driving machine.
I sold it for real cheap, after a car accident. He fixed it up, but RUINED it with a loud intake and can exhaust.
To each there own.
Here's a photo:
http://s5.postimg.org/uk9yjndmf/5428...28603742_n.jpg

Any ideas on how long it will take? My girl will be at work and she cant pick me up when I drop the car off.
Tomorrow is my one day off work this week, so I guess my day off will include a lot of walking and bus traveling the city/town of yucca tomorrow to kill the time.
I don't see how telling us you crashed and sold your Honda would help in answering your question. Not trying to bash you, I just found it a bit funny. Lol

A full roof wrap with rails on an e92 takes about 1:30-2:00 hours, but it also could be longer depending on the installer.

Or longer, they didn't have the materials ready today, delayed and on order for next week.
$250 w/labor for the roof wrapped.

Also my splitter never came in today, just WEATHER WARNINGS from fedex tracking and they removed my estimated date that use to say today before 8PM.

Went to a second shop to see a "painted" estimate. Seems a little high or is it just me?

Small project on my other front spoiler:
