Go to realoem.com and put your VIN number in.
Then go Browze Parts and start digging. I can tell you right now... you are going to need to be a very adept mechanic with that much structural damage. |

Depending on where the impact was, you may be able to start with removing the radiator support and checking all the fluid systems for damage.
It looks like the hit was high and off center, taking out the headlight and radiator support. If the actual metal bumper didn't take a hit, you might be fine on a structural level there. My car got pushed into another car and had damage to the radiator support because the impact was high. I was able to remove most of the front end including headlights and brackets with a T30 torx driver, 8mm-12mm sockets, and a few hours. Parts are available from 100-400 depending on OE/OEM and New/Used etc. Last edited by djh2; 08-03-2016 at 06:09 PM.. |

This might be very expensive to fix. When contact misses the bumper reinforcement bar the damage can extend far past impact point. I wrote an estimate for a new BMW that drove in, but the impact missed the bar. New BMW parts brought the damage to $18k. Your car looks swayed. If the upper apron is bent you're into some big expense. The apron ties the rad support to the strut tower. Its right behind the headlight. It's really hard to give a good estimate from pics. How are the fender to hood gaps? Lots of disassembly before you really know what you have.

It doesn't look that devastating because if it misses the re-bar usually whatever it did hit gets demolished. Start taking stuff off. Keep every single screw and label it. Won't know anything until you start disassembling. Have no info on the impact. Anything we say is pure speculation.

So you bought a totaled 328xi and have no idea what you're doing or what it needs to be repaired... how is this a good idea at all??

Fender to door lines look good. I think that hood and the top cross brace took the extent of the hit. You need to start pulling stuff of like mentioned before. You want to know if there is damage anywhere in the engine support area. Look for bending, scrunching, etc. At the end of the day Radiator support, hood and stuff like that is all superficial. If its a project then take your time. Pull stuff off and label it. Throw nothing out. Take plenty of pictures. You need to see how far back impact damage goes. I am assuming the car starts up and likely even lot drives.
The easy part is the cosmetics. There is plenty of aftermarket stuff you can buy for the cosmetics. There is aftermarket metal hood and fender you can buy (copies of original). There is aftermarket M Sport front bumper. I'm pretty sure even the wheel liners are now aftermarket too. Get a used headlight.

I don't want to be a fun sponge, but I strongly advise that you have someone knowledgeable in autobody repair assist you with this project. If this vehicle has frame damage (which looks very possible), you may not even realize it until you have everything back together and painted. At that point, the hood may not close, and none of the lines between the hood, bumper, headlights, etc. will line up.

that's some pretty serious front end damage. you'll likely have steering linkage issues, engine mechanical issues and possible electrical issues in addition to all the cosmetic stuff. Probably a 5 figure rebuild including labor.

Please fix your vehicle profile. There is no such thing as an E90 2 door coupe.
I will bet to fix that car you will end up with more in it than it will be worth post repair. |

Not saying this isn't a possible fix but...because almost anything can be with enough cash...but you may be better off just parting car out and buying another as these cars are dirt cheap at moment.
GL either way. |

You gotta figure everything plastic in engine compartment on pass side is broken. Including wiring connections. Those connectors can be pricey and require good electrical skills to repair. Unless you got the car for $1000 you are better off parting it and getting another.

Wow, I can't believe all the nay sayers on this post. I'll bet $50 there's no frame damage on this car and it's not going to cost you anywhere near $18k to fix unless you take it to the dealer to do it, which Xibeamersanddrops clearly has no intentions of doing. If you shop in the right places for parts for this, I'll bet you could get it done for less than $5k. Looks like a great project car to me. I'll assume this project is done based on age of this post. So how did it go Xibeamersanddrops?
