I have a 2009 E90 with factory fitted CIC, MULF and a TCU. Today I have tried to do a combox media retrofit but the bluetooth does not work. I just get a message saying PLEASE WAIT.

The USB in the centre armrest works so I am assuming the combox is working.

On NCS expert I have,

I need to change VO in CAS and FRM.

Delete $633, $612, $616, and add the following instead: $614, $615, $644; $6AL; $6FL; $6NF; $6VC. Also add new age of #0311.

- Code CIC to;

CONNECTED_DRIVE to activ
ONLINE_BROWSER_C0D to beide_activ
ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE to activ

Any idea why the bluetooth is not working?

It's better to default code the module using Expert Mode Profile. that should get it going and then you make your modification coding.

No. That is the process for resetting the MULF2. It's a possibility that it could work, only that the Module you are working with is C-Media.

Using Export Mode profile. Select the CMEDIA ECU from the list and then Change the job to SG_CODIERNG then Process ECU. This will program the MOdule to factory settings according to VO.

Thank you, all working now. I done a SG_reset and SG_CODIERNG on the MEDIA and CIC modules.

Wondering if someone could help me.

I have a similar problem. Bluetooth gets stuck on "Please Wait" and External Devices shows nothing with the AUX dead. I installed Combox Media and 6FL from just a TCU.

Have Done all the coding changes already? Does the USB port work? If yes. I'd try resetting the Combox and CIC head unit.

My apologies for resurrecting an old thread. I have the same issue, no BT after retrofitting the combox.

I can see the MEDIA module in NCSExpert, can read and write to the module w/o issue. The USB port in the center console reads my iPhone (plays iTunes and Pandora) and I was able to update the BIN file to the most recent version. But still no BT.

Any suggestions? I removed 639 from my VO and added 644, 6AL, & 6VC.

So after countless reading these forums im kinda stuck.

I retrofitted a cic, works great then added combox media and coded it with $640 and 644 and the others which shows up phone, Bluetooth stream, USB aux is working, voice entry is working from the combox but when I pair my phone, it finds it and I enter the passcode on the phone and cic unit. Then it says pairing completed. Connecting... then stays like that and then after 5 minutes it says unable to connect. But on my phone it shows connected.

I tried the iPhone 7s and tried my wife Samsung galaxy and was doing the same thing. What can this be?
