Been a long time since I updated on here but this past weekend I did a lot of work to her. Changed the coils to the PR. Replaced both boost solenoids and oh my what a difference. And also polished my wheels by hand, this was also my first time doing this. Will definitely upgrade to a drill later.

Also had a walnut blast done a couple weeks ago. Just figured I'd share how bad it was and glad it was taken care of.

My wife has been using the BMW as her daily driver the last year and a bit due to me requiring a 4wd for my last job. New job means I don't need the 4wd, so I've taken possession of the car again and I've been fixing all the stuff she did to it.

First thing was fixing the drivers side cup holder. She had spilt something in there and let it bake in the sun, then when it wouldn't pop out smoothly she forced it open and busted the spring. I pulled it apart, cleaned it out and reattached the spring. It pops out again, but only partially now.

Also cleaned the interior of the car. There was food and drinks spilt all over the seats and carpet. Fast food wrappers wedged under both seats. It smelt like an afghan's nut sack after a 5 day camel ride.

Replaced the covers on the headlight washers. Both had been broken off, so I sourced a Chinese knockoff set of covers and some paint for them. They don't fit 100% flush, but they are better than gaping holes.

Removed some of the underbody plastics behind the front bumper. It was dragging on the ground after being driven into concrete kerbing multiple times. Of course the whole underside of the front bumper is now gouged and scraped back to the plastic too.

New rear tyres (see other thread about that event) because they resembled racing slicks. Only got 20K out of those rears...

Buffed out a few scratches on the boot and side panels. These were caused by her placing boxes of crap on the car when it was covered in dirt and dragging them around whilst opening doors and the boot. Front guard also has a deep scratch on it from hitting a post when backing it out of a car park, but that will need painting, not a DIY fix.

Ordered a new rubber strip for above the front windscreen. It all holey and has perished in the sun. Looks like a busted set of black teeth.

Took it in to the dealer to have some wiring recalls done on it. Told them to diagnose why the battery discharge error keeps coming up and replace the battery if needed. They changed a battery lead and said the battery was fine. Battery discharge error still occurs. Will chase that up later this month.

Took the Taylor Swift CD out of the car and smashed it on the road, then drove over it a few times.

Words. I'd be having words with her. Stern ones. Glad you seem to be more patient than I am!

It goes in one ear and out the other. She just has an inability to not fuck my cars up. Lucky she has other talents, so I keep her.

Fitting up some Kumho V70A tyres in medium compound. Old yoko AD08s were shagged.
Less kms of driving planned for this year but, more of those will be in anger.
