Too bad about these threads. They start out as a decent idea, but they follow the same path. By page 2 it becomes a "cars with the most mods" thread, and by page 5 there will be cell phone pictures that show a blurry E90 parked on an ugly city street.
A better thread would be to let the admins decide what they like and make a thread no one else can post to.

Although I highly agree with you...I have to say that many people out there do not. Stating that the sedan will never compete with the coupe is nowhere near a fact, just a plain opinion. I also prefer the look of the coupe front to the sedan (I own a sedan)...but the aesthetics of the front is truly all a matter of taste. I only really liked the front of my sedan once I put on the EURO Xenons because I could not stand that damn orange reflector!!! Nevertheless, I have shown both vehicles to many people....and ALOT of them have told me that they prefer the SEDAN over the coupe. In addition...some have even told me that they can't really tell the difference when looking at pictures of the two vehicles!!! They think it is the same car...just one with 4 doors and the other with 2. Oh...they do notice the tail lights being different....that is about it!! LOL! So, in their eyes...the coupe will never compete with the sedan b/c the sedan is more practical and basically looks exactly the same.

The E90 was designed first (intro March 2005). Then, presumably to save money, the E92 was designed over the same chassis (intro Aug 2006). To me, this compromise is totally obvious. The coupe's proportions are all wrong: The E92 looks like, and is, a porker. The fact that the weights are within 22 lbs of each other should cause every E92 owner to have a humiliation seizure I suspect the E92 appeals to the subset of the over 40 crowd who reminisce over grandpa's old Eldorado coupe, or think it will satisfy their mid-life crisis without upsetting the wife too much, or to the under 40 crowd who equate 4 doors with a lack of significant penis. Of course, buy what you want. But make sure you compare the two in person; photographs can be very misleading. If you really want a coupe, consider a real one, like the Z4.

I don't think she's the best looking, but I can't imagine building her any different, except for maybe an M-Tech kit and a rear painted CF spoiler...
