I'd rather have herpes than drive a GTR.

I'm a huge Corvette fan if that clarify's my statement.

That's odd. I've driven thousands for corvettes. Even supercharged and turbo'ed ones. ZO6's and ZR1's. They are good powerwise but when I had my supercharged S2000, that was more of a blast to drive then any corvette. IMO

Since you like vettes, why not sell your 328 and get Andrews vette? It's for sale.

LOL... Note to self ladies, stay awayfrom AlpineSwift...

Yikes!!!

And if you are a vette guy, why have a BMW? You can easily solve all your woes with your BMW and buy a used vette. They are a dime a dozen.

That ia true. With the price you bought your BMW for, you probably could have bought a C5.

Point me in the direction of the nearest AWD vette.

...Yeah, didn't think so. I refuse to drive a subaru or an evo and my last audi was a total pos. SO, I went with something I was familiar with and didn't have problems with, BMW. And since I managed to get rid of the CDV yesterday, I can't see myself getting rid of this car. Ever.

Awd totally not necessary here. Just a nice to have. I've had all rwd cars in my 17 years of driving in Colorado and I regret everyday not getting the rwd 335. So I respectfully disagree with the thought awd is needed here.

And a vette is certainly not an alternative to your 328, you just mentioned you were a vette guy.

In my neck of the woods, it is necessary. My 330Ci E46 on all seasons barely made it around town last year with the snow we got. It might not be needed in your area, but I'd be leaving my car on the side of the road if I didn't have it around here.

Considering I'm still deciding if I should go back to an E46 M3 or a C5 Z06 when I get out of school, I'd say its a toss up between Vettes and Bimmers. Why the hell did this conversation turn into a "bash swift" session? I have no problem with someone else liking the GTR, I'm just saying I wouldn't have one. If we're talking about respect, then I think I deserve a little for my opinion. Fair enough?

I don't think it was necessary for you to ask me why I spent the money on a BMW and not something else. Fact of the matter is I love BMW. Plain and simple. I'll eventually own a Corvette because it was my wet dream as a kid and still is one of my all time favorites.

So, opinions and off topic conversation aside, the roads are just wet in Golden and the meet is still 100% a go according to Erik from U1609.

I personally would like to see a lot of us show up. This is the first drive of the year for the euro meets. Last year the BMW crowd got showed up by the VW's and Audi's during the drive. It was really sad.
