Matte Black Vs Gloss Black Front Kidney Grill

Wll I Have The Matte Black Kidney Grill On My E90, But At The New York City Car Show There Was A White 135 I With A Shiny Black Grill Which I Though Looked Great, So My Question Is Why Is Matte Black So Popular Versus The Shiny Grill?

If You Have Pics Of A White E90 With A Shiny Black Grill Please Post All The Pics Of Cars And Shiny Grilss?

I dig the chrome much more than the matte black... I haven't seen a glossy black one, but I think I'd like it better than matte.

+1 on the pics of gloss black.

Turn your damn caps lock off.

Canuck where are you when we need you? Just looked at the list of threads started by this guy, and it's perfect for one of your laundry list posts.

Plus, there are pics all over this forum and on vendor sites with both matte black and gloss black grilles.

waah.

I actually provide insight to people with questions, and offer valuable input when I can. I don't pollute the forum with a hundred threads saying "hai guyz wut do u think of dis?" Nor do I post for sale threads in three separate subforums for one item, as you have. Also, my comment about the caps was not knocking your grammar. It's because I know it's a feature that only capitalizes the first letter of every word if the poster is too effin lazy to turn caps lock off.

Tell me again who ruins these forums?

I love my matte grill. IMHO "Gloss" black grills look cheap and not as nice looking compared to matte ones. Same when you talk about black rims. Again, just my opinion.

Also ragingclue is right. Believe it or not, it is harder to read what you've posted and take you seriously when you capitalize the beginning of every word. Just a thought.

Personally, unless you have matte black on other portions of the car, such as the matte shadowline, then I would suggest gloss black.

Seems like matte black looks more expensive than gloss imo. I see shiny gloss and I think plasitc, when I see matte black, I see some sorta expensive metal. Go figure. Also I like to match matte black rims which look way better than a glossy black wheel which shines too much in sunlight.

+1. For a white car either matte or gloss black looks good because they are differerent colors. For a black car I think matte black is better because there a slight discernable difference/contrast in colors.

It's all about the 'theme' of your car. If you have chrome accents everywhere then you know your answer. My car is all matte trim.

it's not totally gloss. Only the outer border is gloss and the inner grill is matte black. Like it better than all matte.

yeah, I pretty much avoid mwarsh1's threads. I don't need any more infractions right now.

hmm don't know... your sport window trim should have black glossy trim, so black glossy grill would match it up better unless you have matt black window trim... then I would go for a all matt black grill.

Here's my LCI E90 with the gloss black grills from Tischer. Looks great and matches the trim. IMO
