FS - Genuine BMW 19" 225M Sports alloy wheels (SOLD)
For sale are my Genuine BMW 19" 225M Sports alloys for a 3 series.
These are 100% genuine BMW alloys that only come on the new 3 series sport models as an upgrade with wider rears. All wheels have been professionally refurbished and repaired to a high standard so have no scuffs on them and are like BRAND NEW condition. Front wheels are 8J x 19 – PART No. 8037141 Rear wheels are 9J x 19 – PART No. 8037142 They will fit all 3 series models and also 1 series and will totally change the look of your BMW. Remember these are very rare wheels! Original price for a set from BMW is around £2000 but I am looking for ONLY £500 for the set! I can be contacted on 07968670246 (South Yorkshire). Thanks http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/s...ls/225Mset.jpg http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/s...225MInner1.jpg http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/s...225MSingle.jpg Last edited by raf555; 10-09-2009 at 04:20 PM.. |

I have attached a picture below of the repair and it is only about 2cm long not very noticeable but a good repair.
the other one on the other rear alloy is identical to this one. They was previously on a 2007 BMW E92 335i convertible and are genuine and rare bmw wheels. Only the two rear alloys previously had slight cracks in them which was the reason of the refurb but the front two had no cracks of any sort. As u can see in pics they are in pristine condition post a professional refurb. http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/s...lloyrepair.jpg cheers |

Well, if I buy the OP's and put tyres on, it will cost me a lot less than £1500 total... Start your own thread, you less hijacked this one than limped into it and sort of milled about a bit before leaving quietly lol!! Matt |

The quality of that repair would concern me, any good professional repair should be invisible especially after the wheels are refurbed. The fact that weld is still visible seems odd.

Maybe invisible is not possible but any weld should at least have been capable of being smoothed, the lump above the crack still seems a bit unusual to me.

A good repair would have the cracks chased out, then a fillet of weld laid in and then smoothed over, from what we can see, it looks like they MIGHT just have weld laid on top.

I was very interested in his wheels having seen them advertised even before they were on here. However, once i saw the pic of the repair i went right off them as it looked poor quality.
