How does the car connect to the internet? Via BT from the phone?

Hello.
I have a 2010 e92 LCI European bmw 335d an i am interested in retrofitiing this system but I have some questions: - To use an ipod I have to use the Y-cable or a simple USB cable is enough? - the price on Bimmer-tech includes all (installations+coding+combox+harness)? -Is there installers in Germany? Thanks ps: Technic I will send you a PM regarding your "Harness" |

PMs will be answered tonight.
Apple USB cable can be used only with this Combox retrofit. BimmerTech will provide all further details. Quote:

Hi, I'm interested in this retrofit. I also have the 2011 335is. It has the Bluetooth telephone, but not music streaming, nor the BMW apps. Which I would love to have.
I understand the combox retrofit process to get what I want, but would I be correct in that it would make me lose my bmw assist functions? From my understanding, even if I got the telematics combox I would still need to get the dealer to change my id. Which may, or may not be possible. Is this correct? |
