2007 E90 with ZF transmission does not move when I shift into drive or reverse anymore. It will move forward 6” or so if I’m in neutral and rev the car.
Only fault code was 4F8D (ratio monitoring, gearshift 5-4 – plausibility) prior to this.
There was also some hard shifting that progressively got harder.

After the shifting got worse, I put a new pan and fluid. The magnets on the old pan had fine shavings stuck to it. I don’t think enough shavings to cause this current issue.

The new pan and fluid maybe fixed the hard shifting a little bit.

I parked it once and it didn’t move again. Except for the 6” in neutral.

I’m going to replace the valve body seals and clean the solenoids.

Can someone confirm if these are the seals I need.

That will be my next step if the seals don’t fix it. Swapping the transmission is more involved than replacing the seals first. Thanks.
