N51 from 2011 128i to 2007 E93 328i

Hi

I am looking to buy a very low mileage E93 with bad engine.

I am just wondering if a stock 2011 128i N51 will boot on.

It will go in there just fine. The n51 engine has a 3 stage manifold with variable length runners that has flaps that might need to be activated through a computer flash. regardless it will drive fine with them not being activated because they're open. if I was you I'd try to get an n52 engine from like a 330i or just a good 328i n52 because it's for one the same engine and has higher compression than the n51 which was meant to be emissions friendly. also god knows what weird small quirks an n51 might have in comparison
