If you are looking for a good detailer near san Diego, check out "Time to Shine detailing". They handle minor paint corrections as well as major corrections. They are also the authorized installer of CQuartz Finest. They are not cheap but they would be able to do it safely without hacking it up.

In LA area....there is Superior Shine and then there is everyone else.
