+1 I would go for a "Primer Gray" vinyl wrap. That would confuse people.

You're handling it well already man...You sound pretty mature. Seriously what can you do? Scream, kick, curse, cry, hate?Still doesn't undo what's been done. Like how people cut me off bad or drive on my ass, do I retaliate with road rage? No, what will it do for me? I just remind myself how there are all kinds of people in the world that make it spin around...you are the better person.
It's still fucked up and would make me feel ill and would love to have caught the douchebag or at least have my question answered....why? What did I do or you get out of it?
Fucking assholes...move on, get it fixed up and hope it never happens again

Did this happen at your work then?

I would personally just pay to fix it myself if possible. Not sure how it works over there but if you make a claim here your premium will go up.

What's funny is I got kind of a scratch type thing going on on my car but it was isolated to like a 7 inch area by the rear taillight and the quarter panel. So bizarre it was like a little kid did it.
I mean dude if you're going to do a job do it right - but some passion into your art!!

Does that make them feel accomplished or better? seriously wtf. soo pissed and upset. time to find a body shop and fork over the few hundred dollars I've been saving. any advice on how to control these feelings would be appreciated...
Sorry it happened to you. Are the scratches deep enough to touch the bare metal? You can file a comprehensive claim against your insurance if the cost to fix it exceeds your deductible, it will not raise your insurance rate but the claim will be in for a consideration if you plan on switching your insurance provider in the next five years.

I was parked outside of my work and thought it would be safe. I guess the neighborhood is horrible. And yea I'll just fork over the money and get it fixed on my own. I'll life and its a lesson learned I guess, theres just some locations you cannot take a decent looking car around.

You guys are awesome. But, this seems to be quite a common thing. Really sorry for you other guys who dealt with the same (and worse) stuff... its just really a shame that we work decently hard and make sacrifices to get what we want and maintain it, only to have others degrade it. I guess having a vehicle that sort of sticks out may not be the best thing at times.

It's my perception living here in Brooklyn, it can happen anywhere. I live in a nicer neighborhood and my neighbor's E39 got keyed by some punks here.

Sorry to hear that.
A day before I sold my car on eBay, somebody dented my door at the parking lot and left.
The guy who bought it flew from another state. And he was like dude you told me there were no dents, and I tried to explain him that this happened a day prior his visit but he didn't believe me lol. To honest, I wanted to find and kill the mo&*tha foc*ker. My suggestion:
Don't rush to fix it.
I know it annoys you and stuff, but let it be there for now. Live with it for now in other words.
To control it, get a massage, go somewhere and have a good time.

sorry to hear OP, been on the receiving end of a front to back key job before n just about flipped when I saw it.

am starting to think that because this is happening so often nowadays, this is a result of the class warfare that's been declared in the US. it's probably some lazy a$$ punk's way of feeling part of the "fight against the wealthy", by acting out (keying) against someone that might have a bit more than him... not thinking for one second that maybe the person that owns that expensive car worker hard to earn it. then again these punks today don;t know the meaning of hard work. without prejudice, it'll come back to him one day and it'll bite him with a vengeance, n the first thought in his mind will be the moment when he keyed your car. guaranteed.

as to how to deal with it, key (harhar) is to not dwell on it - just look to restore your car to it's former glory then focus your attention on the more important things in life. good luck

AlpineWhite: the political message you have on your hood, and the look of the damage makes me think there was political motive to it. Like you have Kurd neighbors or something. Avoid having politically controversial things on your car, that's a magnet for vandalism

im afraid of this every time I leave my car alone in a parking lot. I park extra far away from everyone and yet still it never fails that someone is next to me when I come out.
