SOS Malfunction *Not Typical Symptoms*

Hello All,

This is my first post ever on a forum like this. I have recently purchased a 2008 E92. 126k miles. Non-turbo automatic RWD model.

I got the SOS call Malfunction randomly one day. I have been on the forums and have read just about everything.

I have replaced the battery, alternator recently.
I have ordered the bypass loop and tried to bypass the Sat Radio, MULF and TCU.

I HAVE sound through the radio, my CD player works and I have all chimes. However my Aux shows as an option but does not work. And I've lost all options for Bluetooth.

In addition to that I have a "heartbeat" pulse/static through all of the speakers.

When I looked at the fiber optic connections all had a red light that was pulsing and matched the static sound coming through the speakers.

I've check all the fuses, tried a replacement amp, tried the bypass. I've tried to just disconnect the battery.

Does anyone have any assistance? I know you can code it out but I have absolutely no idea how to do that.

So your TCU no longer works, SOS call malfunction is related to TCU
Remove your TCU from the car
Install most by pass loop on TCU green cables

transfer and combine all wires inside the white plug from the TCU to the MULF blue plug, MULF will take over bluetooth call functionality. All pin locations from the TCU plug transfer directly to the same pin location on the MULF, you should not have to plug a pin into a hole where there is already a pin

You do have to tell the car you no longer have the TCU by coding it

remove

$612A BMW ASSIST
$619A EMERGENCY SOS CALL SYSTEM

from VO using NCSExpert

shoot me a message if you need help to setup coding, there is no skipping this

To get the TCU you totally out of the loop you must remove or totally dissconnect
the TCU module and jimper the most loop plus program it out at leas the Kombi(instrument cluster)
or VO program it out.
