i used stoner's invisible glass (glass cleaner) on a microfiber towel and it seemed to take a lot of dirt off of my b-pillars (they get dirty from driving with the windows down on the highway). I used a little amount, just enough to moisten the towel and i rubbed the headliner material pretty hard and in the end the towel was dirty and the headliner was cleaner.

anyone else do this?

Everytime I take my car in for service some ham handed service tech gets grease all along my gray headliner above door glass and down A-Pillar. I bitched about it 1st time - I think they just do it now to piss me off - and it's working

For that spot cleaning I use a microfiber towel and rubbing alcohol - takes it right out.

Guess that would be a little difficult if ya need to clean the entire headliner though...

Pretty much I do the same as Priority 1 does but I use carpet cleaner to dampen a sponge ... and I always go in straight lines so I don't cause rub marks.

Dude if you want to clean you headliner the best way to go is using baby wipes, they will clean it like magic. I discover this by accident one time inside my sister minivan and the best is that they don't leave residue stain or fade the fabric at all!!!.

"Oh" one more tip!!! Don't use steam because if you go to long or deep into the cleaning process you will end with your headliners fabric hanging because steam is very aggressive on bond materias like fabric with padding.
