Auto headlight sensitivity
I notice my car with CIC does not have the option to set the auto headlight sensitivity within the iDrive, but my old CCC car did.
I sometimes find the headlights come on a bit early. Surprised the option has been removed. Any way to enable this as an option within the CIC? |

Never seen the option for it on mine.
Doesn't bother me when they come on. I'd rather they were on when not needed then not on when needed.

I used Carly to code this. My car is a non-iDrive model, so only have the option on cluster anyway. I have it on the least sensitive setting and it seems to work as I would expect it to now. Before the lights seemed to be on all the time.

The Auto headlights are affected by the settings of the rain light sensor.
In turn the RLS is adjusted to the glass colors. If your glass is not original or your RLS setup not original then the settings will be way off. There are a bunch of parameters available in the RLS for color and detection adjustments available via coding. Auto headlights and RLS works pretty well when the RLS is properly set up. |
