Recommendations for Autobody Repair/Paint in NOVA/DC/MA

I recently experienced some vandalism on several panels on my vehicle and need paint work and minor dent removal. I'm hoping that your experiences could help steer me in the right direction.

I'm seeking recommendations for several reputable autobody shops that can repair and paint match to the point someone who is detail oriented cannot tell the difference anything happened.

I've been recommended Wagonworks, First Choice, Pohanka Collision, and Speciality Autobody so far from dealers in Arlington. How would you rank them or would you suggest others?

It really sucks that considering the amount of time and care one puts into maintaining a vehicle vs. the degenerate that can trash it in less than a minute.

Thx..

RE:Recommendations for Autobody Repair/Paint in NOVA/DC/MA

I've used RPM Autobody in Laurel, MD to repair some curb rash on the rocker panel of my old e90 330i. They did a great job on my repair. When I was investigating paint repair shops in the Laurel area, I noticed that there were many BMWs at RPM for paint work. I took this as a good sign.

Good luck

Wagonwork Collision Center...the best. Ask for Doug Mullins...he's the man.

I don't trust anyone else with my car...they've done a bunch of stuff for me.

I'm a long time customer of Wagonwork Collision and paid their over the top prices to get over the top, meticulous work and superb customer communications. I took my recently purchased, almost new 2008 335xi to them to clean up a paint scrape on the bottom of the front bumper and repaint the back bumper to repair a minor scratched area. Total cost was just over $1,800. I was surprised to learn that Wagonwork Collision is now owned by Pohanka Collision Centers. The work looks great, but the customer contact experience I was used to at Wagonworks was no longer there:

-They no longer contact you every few days to let you know how your car is progressing through the repair process

-They didn't call me when the car was ready to enter the paint process, like they said they would

-They didn't call me when my car repair was delayed. Instead I found out about the delay when I called to see if the car is ready, then I got some obtuse mumble jumble about the delay.

So as long as the repair team stays in place at Wagonwork you will probably get a great repair, but the interactions between the front office and the customers has definitely changed. One positive change: they now take credit cards!

I've used EuroPro in Gaithersburg a few times - good communications and extremely good work.
