For those who got their car at Passport BMW
I have a question, I have been told by my SA at Passport taht they will pick up your car for you when it is time for your service if you are within 50 miles of them. Just wondering if this holds any truth or if anyone else's SA told them the same thing.
Thanks. |

Yes, I'm told they do that, though I haven't taken them up on it. There are some people here who have. Basically, Passport will drive a loaner to you and trade keys with you.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they do that, at least I hope they do because I got mine from Passport!

Yea thats what they do with me. However I had a "take in for immidiate service light" light up once and I tried to scheadule an appointment to get a loaner and swap cars at my school because I did not want to drive 35 miles on a highway with a possible break failure. The Bmw assist woman, as usual in my case, was a bit**, and the Red Team leader wasnt that great either. They said that they will help you out if its a scheaduled maintenance, but you have to call ahead. If not then you have to drive there and wait there until whatever needs to get done gets done, and then drive back. I wasnt all to happy about this cuz my family had just bought an M5, and X5 4.8, and my 335i 3 months before this. I had to contact Raine, the salesman, and I he has always been amazing. He got me a loaner and drove out to my house picked up the car, and brought it back when it was ready. So from what I gather, sheaduled maintenance...or if your getting work done..when i got my alarm and ipod adaptor installed etc you get a loaner....if its car trouble, call you salesman to see if he can help you out.

On a similar note, when I got my car, I was promised a ride to the dealer from my house. When the day came, I was told there were no rides. So, I had to metro to Passport. Still not happy about that but aside from that, they gave me the best deal in town.

You still haven't done your first service?! We received our cars just 2-3 months apart.
At 32k miles, I've already done my second service (2 oil changes) and a set of rear brakes (front brakes to be done next month)

I recently became paranoid about swirls.
I'm getting a clay bar, a Flex machine, some good polish and time to get rid of the swirls.

That's what you get for buying a black car and not having a garage for it and having multiple infants riding around in it ...

BTW - it looks like sometime this week will be my big polishing + Zaino session. I have some swirls, and it should be an all day affair. I have to travel to my parents' house because of the "no garage" thing. It's really not a good idea to polish outside without cover!

She sure has grown up. You're bringing her up right! She'll need an orbital polisher in a few months. I'm working on my grandchildren to do the same.
