The cameras are just fines. THey don't affect points on a license. It sux but it's better than the real thing.

Exactly! It's like a fine line and once you pass it, you're screwed.

I got caught by the one in front of Walter Johnson High School a little over a month ago but haven't gotten the ticket in the mail yet...I hope I was going too fast! (i honestly think i was)

Does anyone know if the fines are assessed based on how fast you were going or is it a flat rate? I've heard both.

If you read the newest edition of car and driver, they explain why all these measures are being taken. It's not really because they want people to slow down, it's because they want money a.k.a $$$. I believe it's $40 for up to 10 over.
