Batch 2 update

Ok lets try this again. The last thread was getting derailed with other vendors posting in it trying to put their spin on it. If you want to believe them and think the 9 blade turbines and billet wheels will not bring any improvement to what is currently on the market by all means, please purchase what they are offering and leave your negativity at the door. These billet wheels have been proven to provide gains in the real world and do a lot more then look cool. The turbines are now the same size as the competition with an updated profile. I leave the choice to you. This thread is simply to update the people interested in what we are bringing to the table. Batch 1 numbers are readily available and can be searched quite easily. We hope to have these shipping in 60 days. Thanks

First off want to say Happy 4th and thank everyone that participated in our 4th of July promotion it was a success. Got some cool stuff in the mail today. All the Batch 2 parts have arrived including the turbine, and billet compressor wheels. I have included some pictures below, From right to left, stock turbine, Stage 2 batch 1, TD04L(RB), Stage 2 Batch 2 9 blade turbine. The profile we had the 9 blades in are an exact match for the Garrett GTX turbine wheels just in smaller form. This is perfect to go with the GTX wheels as they were engineered to work together. What you will also notice is the "extended tip" design on the compressor wheels. This is the same technology used on the real GTX, and Borg Warner EFR compressor wheels. It extends the tip out past the edge of the wheel for increased airflow. We are getting really excited for these upgrades, we believe they will be THE N54 stage 2 upgrade to have, BAR none, for less than the competition. We are about 60 days out as all that is left is to receive the new flapper order and housing machining. As always thanks for the interest guys.

you do reference other vendors in your threads, so it's fair that they debate. You have done this in the pass, no offense

Yes in the past, and was given numerous warnings by the moderator and told there is absolutely no posting in another vendors thread for debating purposes. It's not my rule, but if I abide by it others should as well.

I think in thread debating between vendors is wrong, but vendors comparing themselves to others is fine.

Also I would like to address the fact that now the other guy is bringing up shaft size. The only time shaft size would come into play is if you are seeing failures due to journal bearing overheating, lack of lubrication etc. we have disassembled over 200 sets if stock N54 turbos and have not seen one journal bearing failure, not to mention our shafts are MUCH bigger then the stock shaft and in reality less then .5 mm smaller then a standard TD04L shaft. They are NOT the standard TD02 shaft as the other guy is stating. Again more smoke and mirrors and misinformation. As soon as I get back from vacation I will post a more close up pic of our shaft and his side by side. You will not even be able to see a difference unless I took the pic with calipers on the shaft. My competition seems to love to deal in misinformation and hide behind the guise of informing people. Ok back to tropical paradise. Cheers

Please post before and after dynos of the same car with same mods/fuel so we can see the gains over the stock turbos.

thanks!

Personally, I would like to see if I can pick up significant power over stock turbos running straight, crappy CA 91 octane gas with no E85/meth.

91ACN is going to be the limiting factor for you.

Since nobody has a set of S2B2 turbos yet, and since probably none have been assembled yet, it's hard to do that.

Couple of good articles comparing the GTX style wheels and the standard cast GT style wheels. Worth a read so you know why we went with the billet GTX style wheels.

Doubt it. Not the turbos' fault, your just going to be fundamentally limited by the lack of octane. On the combustion side things will get too hot, too quickly to make good power over the stock turbos. What you would enjoy are lower WGDCs and less boost to make similar power as the stockers. So you'd have a far more efficient system...but again lack of octane would really tank the benefits.

Tony correct me if i'm wrong here...but I just don't see how it's doable w/ 91 octane as the sole source of fueling.

If they have a higher mass flow rate, then at the minimum there should be more area under the curve and they should pack more of a punch in the upper rpms.
