My last 1/4 was spin thru first, tear off shift knob, remove leather boot, shift with metal pin and two fingers, and still run a low 14 and beat the loud ass Camaro in the next lane |

Great time for the stock parts and the TT...there have been many posts about the TT being a real winner on the track and now your post shows it holds well on the 1/4 with stock parts. Great stuff.

I am gonna keep my car stock aswell except for the SSTT, thats why i feel the power increase which is moderate but gives so much performance along with the plug and play install of it is just great for me.
it has grown so much over the year, it is a great product that is gaining its respect everywhere, even in dealerships. great run just saw the timeslip. |

Great job! Is that the best time to date on a SSTT? Pretty impressive with that being your only mod and of RFTs.

THIS IS CRAZY, i got the exact same time 12.89 at the 1/4 mile. With the same setup but with 6mt.
But as i was bragging about my time with my stock 335i with only the SSTT, somebody in here told me that the times at englishtown dont really count because its one of the fastest tracks in the nation. The only difference i got on my run was a slight better mph. I got a 108.23mph... Maybe i should post it at dragtimes. |

yesterday I did several 13.1's with the 335xi sedan @ 105 with the SSTT.. It had 3/4 tank of 93 octane and Falcon 512 all seasons. Not bad for a heavy four wheel drive.

I was just wondering since you have a step-tronic doesn't it shift itself? unless mine is the only wierd one that shifts by itself regardless if its in D DS or Manual mode? let me know thanks

What shift points was everyone using when you did it manual? I might go back this weekend with a quarter of a tank of gas any try to crack into the 12's. I know the gearing is slightly different with the XI... My timeslip is now showing on dragtimes... |

I also ran a 12.89 w/ the stock RFT w/ a 6MT but I'm running Procede V1.47. I honestly think having less TQ would make for a lower time, I could launch better without spinning the already under-sized and slippery RFT. Maybe the SSTT is a better choice if your looking for ease of launch and not just brute force. I was getting massive wheelhop on most launches causing me to let off completely. outside the car it wasnt noticeable unless you watched my rear bumper flex.... To the spectators it looked like I was bogging badly since I was letting off....they kept asking me what I was doing wrong. Did you guys get wheel hop w/ the RFT? I also set my pressure to 22psi and that seemed to help a little at least. Again good driving for both of you!

I did 3 runs at englishtown. The first one i took traction control completly off, and i spun real bad of the line, i let off and went at it again and i got a 13.26
The second run i pushed the dtc buttom once, and got my 12.89 at 108.23mph. The third run was a hot lap, i went right back to another run, and got a 13.04 with 106.78. The intresting part was that the last run was the best launch of them all and i got a slower time, so i assume the hot engine temp around ~240F caused my slower time. By the way, there was a supercharged m3 there that was getting 13.2-13.0 but with a much higher mph, he was very suprised about my little 335i that could break into the 12's. I also think that he couldn't really drive but that is just my opinion. |

I too have the SSTT on my car but I have a 6mt. This is my second time I’ve ever been to a drag strip, so I have a question. Here are three of the four runs - they are in order of last run first...first run is last.
R/T - .170 - .203 - .209 60ft – 2.076 – 2.100 – 2.101 330ft – 5.687 – 5.653 – 5.608 1/8 mi – 8.573@88.21 – 8.581@87.10 – 8.552@85.77 1000ft – 11.000 – 11.029 – 11.052 ¼ mi – 13.056@110.10 – 13.118@108.38 – 13.191@104.43 Why is the MPH so different in the ¼ mile? The temps did get cooler (from about 65 to about 53 degrees) the 53 degrees was the fastest one.

i thought regardless if you put in manual mode which allows you to shift yourself, it will shift at redline automatically and won't allow you to hit the rev limiter... cause my car in DS mode and Manual mode automatically shifts by itself at redline.. thanks

HE HE yeah me too! WE have all the stuff that is going on the car lined up pretty much. And if all of the dealerships that are holding car deposits for us deposited them all at one time I would be in big trouble

I had both a prior March 335i and the post 335i, and the electronic "LSD" (if you can call it that) does seem to work. Before if I gave it gas going around a corner, the inside wheel would just spin leaving a long straight single burn out mark. Now, if I give it gas around a corner (with DSC turned off), I get power oversteer, but it does cut the power/apply the brake a bit so you aren't getting full power to both wheels like a real LSD. |

Correct, our car will be running a non welded after market racing diff. I am considering building two units for the car. A drag unit and a street/track for handling. Once all the tuning is done and we get on the dyno our team engineers will decide gear ratios

Brother, I hope so. I can't even explain it how badly I want this car. Weird I know as I get to drive lots of killer cars and have owned some damn quick rides but I just love the combination that the 135 offers of weight savings and modding!
