+1 @Socket, they're top suspension components. I've had mine for 6+ years and no issues. SPLparts also make something similar. @Silnismo Megan Racing arms are made by Hardrace. Megan Racing Rear Trailing arms - MRS-BM-0220 / MR-6830 (or Hardrace HD-6830) Megan Racing Rear Camber kit - MRS-BM-0210 / MR-6831 (or Hardrace HD-6831) Megan Racing Rear Toe control arm/links - MRS-BM-0270 / MR-6832 (or Hardrace HD-6832) There's some trailing arms and camber kit for $450 in the Aus Classifieds: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25197314 |

Holy smokes this is a monster build thread. Looking forward to seeing it in person at the next meet once this lock down is finished. Where did you get the custom sub box from or did you make it yourself?

Meanwhile, the sub box comes from a company called Visual Ice in the UK This is the second box I purchased from them, great quality and fits perfectly Here is the link and a pic of the box I got from them https://www.ebay.com/str/visualicecaraudio Last edited by Socket; 04-14-2020 at 06:35 PM.. |

That said it is a great car, super reliable (well mostly) and while not the fastest on the road, is plenty enough power to keep up with most To your question on the spare, I have had a few flats along the way, but luckily all have been slow leaks from nails etc on the road, so simply chucked on a spare tire from in the shed. If it ever happens out on the road, I have RACV road side assist, the number of my local tow truck driver and (if im out of 4G coverage) a can of sealant in the boot #covered |

Mod 153 - Mosselman Oil Filter Housing and Thermostat
The battle to stop the dreaded OFHG leak is finally over. Cost more then a kidney but worth every cent to not have change the OFHG every couple of months |

Mod 154 - Rear Speakers
The quest for better sound continues, this time installing the critical mass two ways to the rear door cards for some rear fill... thanks to the boys at Profound sound for doing a neat and clean install |

Mod 156 - Short Shifter & VTT mod
OEM short shifter kit as the name suggests is shorter in length then the standard gear stick, resulting in less distance and faster shifts... well that's the theory. I my case my gear shifts are so slow, it will make zero difference lol The VTL mod on the other hand is great. Replace the foam insert with a solid insert to remove slack in the gear shift movement... nice one Vince |

Mod 157 - Sound Proofing
Ok so I completely under estimated how long and difficult this one would be. Full top to bottom vibration damping and sound blocking treatment using butyl sheets, acoustic foam and mass loaded vinyl. 100kg of material, 6 weeks work and lots of grazed knuckles. End result was totally worth it. |

Mod 158 - Servotronic Mod
One feature of the M3 steering rack is the adaptive steering function, where the weight of the steering changes with the cars speed. In other words the steering is light when at low speeds (for parking etc) and gets progressively heavier when traveling at high speeds (for better control). Some magic wiring and a new servotronic module is required to get this to work on the E92 |

Mod 159 - Vac MS oil pan baffle
Cornering at high speed can cause the oil in the oil pan to pool on one side leading to oil starvation to the engine. This is a bad thing. Installing a oil pan baffle prevents this condition. Highly recommended before taking your car to the track |

Mod 160 - Speaker Pods
More changes to the audio system to get the stage up higher on the dash Can't afford to buy proper A piller mounts, so using these cheap pods instead. Not crazy about the look, but they might grow on me |

Mod 164 - Clarion CD player and Android 10 HU
Another addition to improving the audio quality. Installed a old school Clarion HX-D2 CD player. Had to sacrifice the CIC unit to fit this in. With the CIC gone then needed something to provide Navigation, Phone and the usual essential functions. An android 10 HU wired up with a screen made to fit in the OEM location was the perfect solution. |
