Adjust halogen voltage through Carista
I subscribed to Carista app for 1 week, my main target is DRL. My car is 2011 e90 323i with halogen headlights.
Now I have angel eyes + fog lights as DRL. And I notice that I can change voltage for low and high beam and increase them to 13.8v. I think I can also change fog lights as well. My question is: is 13.8v too much that will shorten life of the bulb? I think the factory output is 13v. Ken |

Probably not the best quality LEDs then I guess.
Anyway, upping the voltage will always short the life but I can't see those figures causing a problem. If you want to be extra sure email your bulb manufacturer for the LED details and download the data sheet. Tolerances should be explained in that. |

I have done the same modification on my lci 325i e91 using carista.
I was able to change voltage for low/high beam + fog lights but cannot find a voltage option for angel eyes. Am I missing something? I have installed inpa, ncsdummy, ncsexpert, coding tool, dr. gini, find ecu, tool32, win kfp from bimmergeeks. I have a k+dcan cable that works but not sure what to do to get this Angel eyes brighter as my DRL. Anyone here with a step by step I could follow? My bulbs are the yellowish halogen h8I think. Many thanks |
