Down to just 2 codes
So long story short one of my turbos exploded and I've been through a lot. A lot of money. $16,000 on my 08 335i with 136,000 miles. I got the car walnut blasted yesterday. Great results but still misfire and vibration under heavy acceleration. I have code P0036 and P0160. Catless DP's so both of those refer to my rear sensors. One is completely dead, no signal. The other a heater circuit failure. Both front are new. So I've searched through this forum and others to the point of nausea. Does the condition of the rear sensors make a difference since I'm catless? Also there don't seem to be actual emulators, only mods that shut off CEL. But I'm thinking of creating my own emulator.
Thanks |

Actually, there are electronic emulators and they work very well, for example google "VRSF Downpipe Fix". That one has a pretty stupid price given that it consists of 4 components worth about $5 and is easily fabricated if you've got modest experience with electronic circuitry.
Unusual to have errors on both banks appear simultaneously, even if they are different errors. Suggests you or your mechanic either smacked the sensors when removing the downpipes for your turbo replacement or twisted the wires too much causing open circuits. |
