Radiator replacement

Hey guys I have the tiniest hairline crack in the upper connector of my radiator. Not loosing a ton of coolant but im going to replace it before I do.lol Do you have to remove the intercooler to drain the coolant out before I start, or can I just undo the lower radiator hose to drain?

For the sake of not making a mess, jack up the car and look for one of the coolant lines and just drain it through there. You can also take off your front bumper and do it through the plug.

You can just undo the lower hose to drain, there's really no problem with that other than the mess it will create lol.

But I think the intercooler has to come out anyways when replacing a radiator. I could be wrong but I remember dropping my intercooler to get the radiator out.

yea i just took the intercooler out. everything went fine until the bleed process. I overtightened the lower screw by the lower radiator hose and didnt let that tiny hose sit flush in the connector. coolant was going everywhere lol. loosened it up and we were good. thanks for the help guys.

Well it was my first time so if I would suggest anything it would be to take your time. everything wont slip in and out so easy like the diy videos. and when you get to those two smaller hoses towards the bottom corners of the radiator that are connected only by a screw, do not over tighten the screws because it will not let the hose sit properly in the housing and will leak.
