Going on 8 days no e92, how do you cope?
Left my car at my indy shop while waiting on getting my rims powdercoated.
3 day plan turned into 8 days and I won’t have her back for another 2-3 days (long story). How do you all cope when being away from the car for so long and what was the longest you’ve gone without her? Some days cruising the forum makes me feel better, sometimes it makes me sadder... |

Parked my E93 for a month. A spring broke while visiting mom 500 miles away so I drove my little sister's Civic home to Michigan while waiting for parts.
I honestly didn't mind. My Saabs, Cadillacs or E46 on the other hand were cars I couldn't go a day without wanting to drive them. This E93 is just a car.

Hey I see you're from NY as well, any chance you went to NYCwheelprofessionals in Brooklyn?
Also, if you're leaving your car for a few days with any kind of repair shop or even the dealer, I sure hope you took a pic of your odometer because mechanics and porters tend to like to take customers cars for joy rides and abuse them. Especially if its a nice looking E92 335i....who could resist?

I hate verts too...unless it's a Ferrari or Lamborghini, then it's a "spyder" or "spider".

My E46 was a vert too but superior in nearly every way.
These are trophy cars for old women. I got mine at a nice discount. A couple years back I drove a fully restored 1990 E30 vert from California to Missouri. It was absolutely sublime. E9x is far a safer, more efficient, more refined machine but in every way an inferior car to drive. That said, I received an F32 as a service loaner and it was far inferior to E93, like a Camry Solara with iDrive. I have zero affection for my E93. It's a thing that goes places, nothing more.

Of the times I have left my ride with my indy mechanic for services or repairs, is a few days, but not more than a week. Doesn't bother me if I'm not driving it. Have 3 my other cars to drive while he's taking care of it.

first world problems but i can relate. i didn't have my car for week for a vanos repair so the dealership put me in a 2018 X2.
The interior of X2 was really nice but i hated the way it drove and i hated the fact i looked like every other person at the costco gas station with there cross over suv. |

In the winter I drive an 06 accord v6 6mt coupe and park the e92.
Its nice to switch it up once and a while. its refreshing to pay much less for gas and not care where i park or when i hit pot holes and stuff. also its faster LOL. (obv not the case if you have the 335i) Also i owned a 2004 325i for 4 years and E46 is NOT superior in every way. just nicer looking |
