CI63F1 vs CIA0F1 - Which functions do they contorl

Hi,

Does anyone know which functions are handled by each module?

I'm trying to figure out which module handles the actual operating system on the CIC. CI63F1 is labelled as CICR and CIA0F1 is labelled as CICR_HD (hard disk?).

The hard disk does not contain the CIC operating system.

The OS is stored in flash ram that is updated with iLevel updates.

The HD contains maps, FSC codes, music, radio buffering space, etc.

Your car will still work without the HDD. It navigation will be disabled...
