N54 Engine Mount Question
Anyone know if the issues with the 034 mounts ever got sorted? It seems like the price for "IS" mount has gone through the roof these days. While I have no issues just buying stock replacements, getting something that will last a little longer would be nice.
Stage 2+ MHD power for reference and dont really wanna go the solid mount route. Lemme know if anyone has heard anything. Thanks. |

$237.02 is the best I’ve seen for an IS mount. |

Worth it or just better to go FCP and lifetime on stockers? Dont mind doing the work again down the road unless the IS mount will be like a 1 and done upgrade |

Don't get 034. I removed mine about a month or two ago and both were falling apart like many others before me. My DP were hitting the subframe because of them. I'd never run their N54 mounts.
I have the 60A Turners now and they are much nicer, although a little more costly too. Slight NVH at idle with idle at 850rpm |

Might go the Turner route, but just might stay stock if there is really no stock+ options out there. |

M3 guys seem to have good luck with these:
https://www.vibra-technics.com/bmw Wish they would make something for our platform... Same with the Rogue mounts: https://www.rogueengineering.com/Rog...unts_p_78.html Last edited by FCobra94; 10-08-2019 at 04:32 PM.. |

Yeah the price hike was what I was talking about, seems like you cant get the IS mount for less than 2 arms and a leg, so I will likely stick with OEM replacements and FCP's lifetime warranty, at least that way I can do them every other year and not care about it.
Thanks guys for the input. |

You part doesn't need to fail to return it for lifetime replacement to FCP. I stripped the Torx on my new pensioner and figured I would just get a new one instead of dealing with it in the future and got a new part.

I have turner motorsport 60A mounts they're expensive but great mounts.
On initial startup there's lots of NVH but drive 500 miles to break them in and with a raised idle via MHD they're great. |

Ditto. Had the 034s fail badly. Went to the Turner 60A and they are worth every penny.

If you are willing to spend a little more money you can get the AKG motorsports or Revshift mounts. Both mounts are really good quality and completely rebuildable. I got the 75D AKGs on my car because my car sees a decent amount of track time and even though it is a really stiff mount, once it breaks in, it is barely noticeable above 800-900 rpm. I got the AKGs because of the aluminum housing it is in as opposed to the Revshifts.
