I have 193M's on my E92 (no difference in offset or fender width from E92), with the factory bridgestones on it, I had 15mm spacers. Switched to Michelin's and they have just a tad more sidewall thickness and the 15mm's rubbed just a little bit, so went down to 12.5mm's from Turner Motorsports, so the tire your running can make a slight difference also.

The 15mm's with Bridestones on the 193's looked mint just enough room not to rub, but 16mm's would probably rub just a little.

Depending on the age of the hub and conditions (rust, etc.) some slight grinding/sanding may be needed. It is also good practice to place some anti-seize on the center piece of the hub. I am in NYC so I need to think about snow, salt and cold which have led to rust in my scenario.

E90 have more room in the rear than the E92. I believe 15mm is our safe bet for the rear. 15mm on the front may be a bit too flush...

So either they updated the hubs for 335is, or there is a 0.5mm - 1mm gap between your spacers and your hub, depending on brand (ECS Tuning, for example, uses 12.5mm spacers which is OK) and you didn't notice it? Even Rogue Engineering acknowledges this. See their notes section. http://www.rogueengineering.com/mm5/...t_Code=WSPACER |

I needed a slight fender roll with 12mm spacers and 265/30 Goodyears, OEM 19"
Running 12mm spacers also front with 235/35 BTW I had no problems fitting 12mm's

I want to pass by my mechanic to get some precise measuring done since I have a slightly dropped car. I already have 12mm in the rear as my benchmark. He will need to see if there is 3mm to spare under full compression.

I dunno, I agree that the caliper test is definitive, but I know that my 12 mm fit perfectly flush against the hub. I could not get a piece of paper between the hub and the spacer. And of course the spacer fits into the wheel flush also, which I tested with the wheel off. I've taken my car to a registered speedo reading of 143 mph which is probably an actual speed of 130 mph and the car was rock solid and the steering wheel felt as still as if I were idling.

The best way to really determine the right spacer size for your needs is to measure the distance from the wheels to the fenders. Some people like more aggressive fitment than others so this ensures you get exactly what you'd like.

I can confirm SOME E9x (possibly the early builds) have that hub thing sticking out by as much as 12.5mm. There was a picture taken by one of the vendors which shows the 12.5mm with a caliper measuring. One member ended up going to a shop to have the protrusion sanded down to 10mm.
By the way, you can run OEM wheels with as much as 18mm in the front and lowered by 0.5" without any issue. That's what I'm doing. It's the rear that is the first to rub (15mm spacers in the rear for me and no rubbing at all, but 18mm rear rubs on highway dips). Last edited by JunkStory; 11-23-2011 at 03:56 PM.. |

Are you guys talking about xdrive e92's or rwd? I would imagine that makes a difference when picking out front and rear spacers with 193M wheels no?
What sizes are recommended for an e92 328i xdrive m sport? |
