This is ideal for someone wanting to install an LSD as you won't have to machine and drill/tap the ring gear. This would allow you to spec the unit for automatic or manual transmission cars. This will work for automatic cars if you'd like to run it as as an open diff (not sure why you would though).

LSD options are available from Wavetrac, Quaife, Drexler among others. Another lower cost option would be to use the Racing Diff conversion.

The diff housing, gear set, pinion bearing and diff cover are brand new.
This is from F series? What model exactly and how you know is bolted? 3.15 is better suited for MT not AT since MT is 3.08 vs 3.46 for AT
What happened here? Was this one those LSD unit that were for sale for like $500 for F series and you removed the LSD unit and installed open?

Correct, this is from an F series. I have removed the diff cover and verified it is bolted.

It could benefit either MT or AT depending on the particular use and power mods.

Is it compatible with E series?

Yes, 188mm ring gear E cases and F cases are the same. The buyer would spec the LSD to their appropriate model when they or their shop builds it. The diff cover may be different but the E9X diff cover could be swapped over.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested in buying and I can figure out a shipping quote.

For anyone else reading, this will fit any E82/E9X if an LSD unit intended for automatic transmission E82/E9X is used with the matching automatic E82/E9X output shafts. All E82/E9X diffs have the same dimensions when bolting to the subframe. This F30 diff has the same mounting when using the E82/E9X diff cover. The F30 diff cover may be the same but I have not been able to confirm.

HP Autosport is a great source for the LSD unit.
