It was great meeting you both! Look forward to more meets this summer.
It was fun to directly compare the Cobb to the JB4 .. the STi was a nice little bonus! My car looks like a SUV compared to your slammed cars .. LOL. |

It does, I absolutely love the sound.
KW's looked incredible as well! Super hot car man! Bigup, I think AR 3" Catless Downpipes and a titanium Akrapovich exhaust would sound ridiculous... I wish I had the means to get the downpipes right now! Maybe next year. |

Tonight I filled up with 94 octane and switched maps to 93 octane cobb Absolutely made a huge difference. Car pulls at least 30% harder up top and it now doesn't feel like it hits a brick wall 140km+
It just pushed my car above the threshold of being quick and fun to very impressive! Seeing is how this made such a difference I think I'm going to add an FMIC and DP just to finish her off this summer I'm going to post two new videos in this tuning section, they'll be up in a moment. |

Bigup, before you change your JB4 map, Id love to see how my 93 octane map runs against your jb4 1map. then I know for sure how much quicker it is
And downpipes are a definite. |

Sure .. you can also run me JB4 map ZERO (the bypass map) .. so you'd effectively be comparing your Cobb to a stock 335i. Might be interesting to some people on the fence about tuning...

I think so!
After posting a thread and getting some feed back, when I install FMIC and DP I will Maybe see 20hp increase.., COBB stage 1 tune was not designed for add ons. However, when stage 2 does come out then I'm sure I'll see some incredible gains. Fingers crossed for 60+WHP. Bumping me up substantially. |

Had some horrible JB4 boost oscillation on map 1 again today .. beginning to think that it's not a good match for my car.
One step closer to trying the Cobb. And the wheels/tires .. I'm beginning to wonder if I should just put my stock summer RFTs back on .. everywhere I try to buy the wheels I want is out of the size/offsets until late June, or they refuse to ship to Canada. Not having a good time here .. LOL |

Darn.. that sucks man! Keep me posted with the wheels.
If you are dead set on those wheels, I would say put summers on... spend money on mods and buy the wheels end of summer or in the fall to throw on next year. That ensures they are in stock and you can get them for a good price. COBB for sure!!! |

You're right about buying end of summer -- there should be some good deals, at least on tires. Question is .. ditch the JB4, and buy a Cobb .. or just go crazy with DP/Meth and FMIC to see if the JB4 reponds better with mods! Kind of scared about the meth install process though, unless I can find somebody to help me with it. I'll see if BMS can help me out with the tune issues, but if not .. I may move to Cobb. Need to get out tomorrow evening and do some more logging with Map 1, and with Map 5 (autotune). Fun fun fun! |

Where are you going for Meth install? I still have not figured out how METH works and what its all about. I'll have to google it.
Did you find prices for DP and intercooler yet? Right now the 2K I was going to spend on DP and custom exhaust is in the stock market lol |

I wouldn't hold out for any prices on the DP .. my guy at work has let me down with the wheels & tires, so he'll probably be just as sloppy with the DPs. |

@bigup n e90vader.....if u guys do run any of those variations (eg. Cobb vs jb4 with all the different maps n stuff) defs keep us posted on the results. Would love to know if it's worth getting Cobb stage 1 seeing as I dont have any other mods like exhaust etc...also is Cobb stage 2 out yet or is there only stage 1 available?
P.s. If you wanna run ur cars against a completely stock e92 I'd be happy to help :P

E90Vader bumped his Cobb to the 93 map, he destroyed my Map 1 JB4 so bad, it was not even funny! There is no sign of Cobb stage 2 yet .. .. and let's do another mini-meet soon |
