Found a Bent rod, can I drop it out the bottom?

yeah I know, I was joking. I'm in the process of pulling the head off this morning so I'm just going to manually clean it on my workbench. Plus I don't have Walnut shells or sandblasting equipment. Speaking of pulling the head, I saw a YouTube video where a guy said he needed a three and a half foot breaker bar. I thought he was exaggerating and ended up using a 5 foor piece of square tube on the end of my breaker bar. When the bolts cracked the shock-wave through the metal pipe is so loud it hurt my ears. I stopped because it was late last night and I didn't want to wake up my family from the garage.

Has anyone seen this before? every other injector is a different style. numbers 1 3 & 5 have a different body and shape than 2 4 & 6.

the pipe is a little bit longer than needed to break these head bolts but honestly I don't think I could do it if it was too much shorter. You need at least three foot of Leverage.

P. S. believe it or not, removing this has been the hardest thing of the entire job so far. it was wedged in and whatever little metal bracket is supposed to hold it in place was all bent. And of course that's fucking Bolt can't be reached and was tight all the way out.

Upgrade to what? I'm gonna be getting my motor swapped out soon too and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my rear inlet. I currently have relocated inlets (I forget the brand) but the rear turbo fitment is utter crap.

If it were me I'd keep this rear inlet but idk what you would suggest instead

Head is off! God it was heavy! I had to have that strap to lift it since reaching way out makes the thing 3 times heavier.

Even after cleaning I can't see or feel any damage to the cylinder wall of # 3. That's the one with the bent rod. It's looks like the block suffered no damage from the bent rod!!
I have been so overdue for some good luck with this car!

Commendable effort for sure. Not sure if it's the camera angle or reflection, but there seems to be some uneven spacing between the piston and cylinder wall in that picture (gap at the "top" in that last picture). Do not forget to verify roundness and taper in the cylinder(s) after you pull the piston(s).

You're right about the angle. that's what I'm trying to check right now visually. I need to get a gauge and mic it. The cylinder did knock a little chunk off the bottom of the bore. Luckily, it's the part of the skirt that's below the Rings.

You can see that it's at the bottom and the Rings stop where the color change is........ Thank God!!!

VRSF stainless relocated inlets to be exact. Not the fully silicone ones although I have heard they're worse in terms of fitment issues.
