I had no idea that it was going to be so bad. I've had some pretty sh*t days but yesterday was the worse. He went from being apparently healthy to having to be put down in under 2 weeks. The look in his eyes when he was being given the injection will haunt me for the rest of my life. They are prone to cancer but he was only 5 years old. The whole family are completely heartbroken and even though there are five of us in the house it seems so quiet without a 9 stone fluff ball following you around. I would gladly swap any car on this forum if I could have him back |

Very sad for sure. My dog died in the summer aged nearly 10, was heartbroken.
Replaced with a pup a few days later but we all still miss the old boy too. |

Everybody thanks for your kind comments. It really does help.
I just feel honoured to have owned such a fantastic dog despite all the pain that we are feeling now. |

Awful news Boyd, and as a dog owner I can empathise.
Our friends lost their 13 yr old German Shepherd last week,a gorgeous dog, and despite there often unwarranted reputation, a wonderful family member. The dog was fine in the morning, come 5.00pm the vet had to put him down, very, very sad Remember the good times |

Mate I know your pain all to well. It's like loosing a son/brother. Just please stay strong, think of all those special moments in those 5 years and remember that he couldn't of had a better life. You gave him your all just like he gave his back buddy. Stay strong. My thoughts are with you xx

Sorry to hear the awful news as above. really gutted for you. He looked a proper bruiser .
My only advice is go out find a pup it will be hard but it will help . Carlos will agree , I am sure it seams wrong at present but we always have found it helps . |
