Well the only thing I can say is that my mirror is a one off, so when it is sold another won't come up again. Standard parts can be bought anytime.

Hi bud

What is high beam assist?
Also do you have any knowledge of what frequency the Japanese E90 remote runs at?

High beam assist automatically flicks your high beam down when a vehicle comes towards you.

It looks like Japanese vehicles run 315mhz remotes. The best was to check is to look at option 876 by typing in your vin here: http://bimmer.work/

It's freaking awesome is what it is, I only discovered it randomly, but it works so well, like cars 200m ahead, and it will stay off till they go around a corner, I couldn't believe how accurate it was.

Question @NBTBRV8 : Why isn't it compatible if the car is optioned with high beam assist? Is there a hardware limitation like power source? And secondly is this plug and play or we still require some special harness to connect the mirror to the roof module? Thanks

My E90 at the time didn't have the High Beam Assist option, so my mirror was to suit this, the mirror hardware is different between cars with and without H.B.A.

My modified mirror is OEM for a car without H.B.A., it is plug and play as it should be.

Ok, Gotcha.

But the 315Mhz Ignition criteria is irrelevant if the car is not a convertible correct?
I mean for sedan/coupe the fob antenna is supposed to be on the pillars, so it doesnt matter regards to the mirror right? It all comes down to only the hardware frequency of the homelink, yes?

Cheers

I can't be sure of that, as even when searching under a sedan on the ETK it still lists the three main global frequencies. I bought the 315mhz mirror as that is what was fitted to mine originally.
