If there's a problem with WG it should show on any gear though.

2nd gear from almost 4k shouldn't take almost as long as 3rd gear from ~ 2500rpm to reach target but regardless there is clearly an issue. It's almost twice the lag (~1000rpm vs 500 rpm) and sharp WG duty cycle drop by 5k and starts climbing again.

Depends if you are already spooled or not, do not think spool will be instant even if you are 2nd at 4000 rpm at constant speed, it will probably take 1000 rpm from 0 psi to 15 psi since when you are in 2nd gear, it's very fast and maybe would take less than 1 second, just my 2 cents.

Tried to go out and get another log but the throttle cut is back I should also mention when it cuts the throttle my oil temp gauge drops to 0 and slowly climbs back up

I was thinking and could this have anything to do with my steering angle sensor going bad and messing with my traction control it says it’s off and I can t put it back on but it seems to cut every time the car spins

Guys I think I found the issue. My boost canisters nipples are both broken which would explain the wastegates not sounding right.

That happened to me, post a log after you fixed it.

Throttle cuts all over the place due to Torque limiter active, you need to turn DSC/DTC fully off. (hold the button down for a couple of secs)

Go up to 3rd gear, from 2500rpm go wide open throttle till 6000rpm then shift into 4th and back off after a few secs.

Your theory might be true if you were going WOT from 2500rpm in each gear and comparing, but I'm pretty sure the higher rpm you go WOT at in a gear the quicker it should reach Boost target,
Hey Saif, I had some time to kill, so I digged a bit more in my datazaps, and found two interesting ones I did a few years ago :

2nd gear from ~3920rpm - boost peak reached at 5300rpm
https://datazap.me/u/studio54/log-15...-24&mark=24-32

2nd gear from ~2950rpm - target reached at 4000rpm

https://datazap.me/u/studio54/log-15...-24&mark=25-33

On both it takes more than 1000 rpm (but less than 1.3second) to reach target in 2nd gear that's why for me, on the first & only one log at the time (2nd gear) of brodybk1, 850 rpm wasn't crazy.

And I reach target in 3rd in 500-600rpm and 300-400rpm in 4th, but regardless brodybk1 logs, my point is that one elapsed second of WOT in 2nd equals a lot of RPM passed as the needle moves so fast especially approching the red zone, then it's logicial than spooling takes more rpm (does not mean it's slower) in 2nd than in 3rd and so on.

brodybk1 maybe you should try to flash V7.1 too

Ok makes sense, can't argue with results, brodybk1 3rd log shows he's got almost twice lag though nearly 1k, yeah would be interesting to compare v7. 1 if the WG issues occur or not, but I suspect it's more mechanical.

Yes, looks like it's an hardware problem :/ but I would give a try to V7 just by curiousity

Agree, always a good idea to compare maps, helps rule out tuning related issues, plus some maps run better than others.

Hi all,

getting rough idle and misfires after driving for 30-45 minutes, worse when restarting after shutting off for a bit. Getting codes 29CC, 29CE, 29DO, 2AAF. Just changed ignition coils and spark plugs as first step with no change.

Datalog of idle: https://datazap.me/u/lukeacjm/idle?log=0&data=3-19

Datalog of small run (didn't want to push the car): https://datazap.me/u/lukeacjm/run?log=0&data=3-4-19

Looking at AFRs for bank 1 and 2 I am guessing it is an injector on bank 1? Spark plug on cylinder 1 smelt of fuel

Thanks,

Luke

Looks like injectors leaking. You can try swapping injectors to help isolate but Your AFR's are lazy, one more than the other, you probably have leaking injectors in both banks. Pull the the plugs and see if you can smell fuel.

Superknock cylinder 6 335i DKG FBO STAGE 2+ 93 octane

Hello, after moving from a custom safe tune to MHD stage 2+ v10 93 octane, the car pull strong, but exactly at 220 KM/H the car cut injection and throw a shadow code superknock cylinder 6 so no limp mode nothing, the car just stop pulling like it should be.i can instantly clear the message via MHD and continue driving and will not throw the superknock code till 220KM/H Gear 5.
i have seen that i can change the sensitivity of the knock sensors but ONLY if i'm sure if it's a false knock nothing else, can you help me diagnosis if there is something wrong with the car or should i just change the sensitivity via mhd
Stock Coils, 3 New, 3 other with 30K mile
stock spark plugs with 3k mile on them
Injector Index 09.
Car have very slight misfire at idle when you start it and gone after.
https://datazap.me/u/lastchrium/log-...-6-7-8-9-10-11
This is My logs for 3 pulls the second one throw the code just before i release the throttle at the end.
Hopefully someone point me to what is wrong

Hey guys, im new to forums and stuff. I just flashed my 2008 Bmw 335i with stage 2, has chargepipe, bov, dci, and downpipes. Would someone be able to look at my log and see if everything looks fine?

Thank you

Joining you from the nearly dead 1 series forum. I have a quick question about MHD. Can install a first time tune with error codes. I have an adaptive headlight warning. Carly liked to "fail" and make my dash a light show. Also, I would like to get my logs interpreted when I feel confident these programs can be installed and used without major error due to the current condition.

http://www.datazap.me/u/cochran/log-...og=0&data=4-22

DME codes that appeared when i scanned were: 29D2
Shadow codes were: 2AD0, 29F4, 29F5, 2AAF
Swap plugs/coils to another cylinder and recheck if misfire follows, if it still stays on cylinder 6, then swap injectors and see if it follows again.

You can install and use MHD with existing fault codes if that's what you're asking.

MHD won't make your adaptive headlight fault go away though. You need to find out what's causing it then fix it and clear all codes.

If someone has time to take a look at 2 current logs I just did. Having a weird oscillation at the beginning then boost builds and its gone.

Your tuner should be able to help smooth it out. Happened on my custom tune as well, after a few revisions smoothed out.
