That's the trouble right there - this type of wisdom can change quickly. If public opinion starts seriously condemning 12mpg gas guzzlers, BMW can change their position very quickly too. No corporation can ignore it in this day and age, particularly BMW as it wants to be always seen as an innovator and technology leader.
Please mind, I don't really care one way or another, as I'm not in the market for that type of car, nor will I be in the foreseable future. I'm just saying that BMW's point of view can change with lightning speed, if the conditions warrant it. And they way I see things shaping, it may come sooner than most think. |
