Bump and news update.

Guys I am furiously trying to sort lunch, I have a slight problem with the original venue in that it appears to have closed down. There is another place very nearby which is fantastic too so I will try sort that.

Menu will be up shortly.

Gav, if its ok with you to raise the numbers we have a couple of friends who are into cars and want to ride with us (Helen and Stu) so they can be added to the list if that is OK?

I have also asked Carlos (the DXB) and Ed335d to bring their missus's up and stay at mine, so there could be 4 more if it all works out.

Regards
Matt

Thanks to Matt for taking on board lunch arrangements.

A final route will be posted in a couple of weeks.

If anyone is wanting to join us you are more than welcome. Very soon we will need definite numbers for lunch and evening curry, so if you're hesitating, don't hesitate too long!

Defo count me in for drive/lunch

Have my sons third birthday party on Sunday, so may not be able to make the curry if stuff still needs sorting - what time will you be eating?

Last year's NM2 was a fantastic meet, drive and curry fest. Come on guys, get your names down for this! Really looking forward to a great drive on some of the best roads in Yorkshire, a great pub lunch and chat and an even better evening!

It is definitely my last one as a BM driver and possibly the last one I ever organise... Get signed up!

Was definitely going for it, then things happened that took priority. Plans are on hold at the moment whilst I consider other options.

I'm heading down to Cornwall for a week's hols. When I get back I'll post final details. Perhaps Matt might put something on about the lunch arrangements?

Cheers

I fully agree with your comments Gav - last year's NM2 was utterly fantastic! The most boring bit was the drive up to Yorkshire from London, but then I got involved in some 'proper' driving with Helen in her 997T The drive through the Dales was so beautiful - really fabulous. Curry was great too in the evening!

Am still hoping to make this NM3 - would be nice to see you and Ali. Will let you know nearer the time.

To others who are thinking about coming, please make the effort, if only just for the drive during the day. If it's half as good as last year, it'll be immense

Holla.

A)I'm drunk.
B)Gav, I've got your back while you're away - hope you get time to chill.
C)Tony, I just found one of your radios in the M3.
D)Lunch is going to be at the Black Bull. I have one question to ask... Have you got big brass balls of steel? Then man up and take on the full mixed grill. If not, take some kind of little girls choice, like a pie, or the half (ladies) mixed grill and bask in the laughter of your peers!!
E)The NM2 (last year) was the dogs danglies. Tony organizes a good meet, but Gavs are really fucking special. If you miss it, then you really miss something good and possibly unique as it could be Gavs last. Whatever you Southern Champagne lovers think, our roads are for real men, hehe!!
F)Sorry for swearing T!!!
G)I'm trying to offend you into coming!! Man up!!

Evening Meal

cheers for the post Matt! Now I'll have to live up to the hype!! Can you let me know the road the pub is on so I can work the route around it mate?

I need definite confirmation of numbers for the evening meal by Friday 18th June please, so I can make the booking. So far we have:

RockIt +1
Ragingkileak +3
E92Fan
AlanQS
beemerbird +1
pjs (maybe)
TMP (drive & lunch)

Restaurant link http://www.omarkhans.co.uk/

I strongly recommend their banquet which will consist of a wide range of starters and mains, rice and breads. This is excellent value at £13.50 per head, or £12.50 if the party is over 10 people. We usually do this at birthdays and there's always loads of food of various spice levels; meat, fish and veggie. It also means that we know how much the food is per person and any drinks can be bought at the bar or ordered and paid for at the table. Any non-curry eaters can just place a separate order for their food.

If people are up for this, please let me know asap.

You could stay there Alan, but it's a taxi ride out of the centre if you want a drink on the evening. I would suggest going for a more central hotel such as the Holiday Inn Express. I chose the Bankfield as the initial meeting place because it's convenient as a starting point for the actual drive. I'm guessing you will want a place booking at the restaurant, but not the curry banquet?!
