I just bought a set of bmw 09 m3 wheels w/tpms.
Will the TPMS on the 09 M3 work on my 07 335i ? Or are they different ? The wheels we have on now are the type 179 w/ RFT ...but from what ive read my 07 should have TPMS not RTFM... |

The 335 forum may give you a better answer. Offset on those wheels is pretty aggresive for a 335, though.

This thread looks like the perfect place to get an answer to my question.
I will be getting a set of M6 replicas with a set sessantas. I am not clear whether I should get TPMS or not. A friend of mine told me I might have the revolution, not the TPMS. It's an 07 335i E93. The I drive only shows tires in green when they are ok and amber when underinflated. There is no exact reading (eg 30 psi). I think I saw something that looked like spring attached to the inside of the barrel of the wheel when I put the winter tires on my OEM wheels. How do I tell if I have TPMS? Also, what TPMS would I need to do the 19" staggered with Sessantas? |

SO why would you say what you just posted when this is general wheel/tire forum for all 3 series about TPMS in general.... Maybe you should post your comments on an M3 forum Also, no the m3 wheels are not too aggressive for 335 it has been done by TONS of 335 owners. I have an e90 335i sedan so the fitment is not that difficult to pull off... So back to the topic ... if anyone knows if 09 M3 TPMS will work on 07 335 TPMS please let me know. I know some vendors out there can chime in who sell TPMS Last edited by mikercp; 02-20-2010 at 01:00 AM.. |

Well I went ahead and mounted the wheels and so far so good!! I reset the tire pressure setting and it looks like the m3 TPMS is registering with the 07 !!
FYI for any 3 series sedan owners looking to do something similar....the wheels look soo good on the 3 series Ill post some pics up shortly. |

When ordering wheels/tires for my 2007 328i, I get asked the question; do you have rubber or metal valve stems?
I have the stock 16" rims w/run flats with rubber valve stems. What type of system do I have? I'm assuming it's the indirect type since my car is non-idrive and rubber stems? I have 2 sets of Bremmer Kraft BR01 and BR02. What do I need to do to have TPMS for these wheels? |

I apologize for bump...just my two cents
Shortly after I purchased my 2014 Coachmen Freedom Express 297 RLDS I purchased this package from PressurePro https://mechanicguides.com/best-tire-pressure-systems/ In addition to the Coachmen we have a Aliner for back country trips and I will not tow either camper without the TPMS They alert to either over-pressure or under-pressure and have now saved me four times. Three times I have picked up road debris (nails ect.) in a single tire and the slow leak was detected and alerted to me in sufficient time to exit the highway and have repairs made. The fourth time was a crack in one of the tow vehicle tire valve stems. All four times I'm sure had I not had the TPMS the tire affected would have leaked to the point of the tire overheating and a catastrophic failure. This has led me to believe that many of the reports of "junk Chinese" tires failing are really road debris/leakage failures that lowered the pressure in the tire to the point of catastrophic failure. I have now swapped all rubber valve stems for metal and even though I feel that many "junk Chinese" tires are getting a bad rap I've swapped out the tires on the Coachmen to Goodyear Endurance. I think I've got another year on the Aliner and then I will change it's tires also. Friends don't let friends tow without a TPMS system!! |
