Low Life people

Got my new F31 few days ago..
Last night around 3:40 AM, I heard car stopping outside my house and playing loud music, bedroom windows were open as it was quite warm last night, all of sudden, I heard glass smashing I thought someone did something to my car got up saw Black Ford Galaxy driving away, couldn't get the registration number .

Went out to check luckily no damage to the car, Smirnoff ice bottle was lying in pieces next to my car.

Contacted police in the morning all they turned around and said no damage to the car or property so nothing we can do, Great...

Just bit scared I hope this does not happen again..

Garage List
Unfortunately that's the risk you take parking on the road, has always been that way.
When I was a yooth one of the guys used to find it amusing to piss or phlegm over a nice cars door handle, admittedly he was an arsehole but there's plenty of them out there.
Get yourself a garage or at least off road parking for your shiny new F31.

Btw what's the room like in the back, is there enough for a 40 kilo Alsatian puppy?

There are some truly anti social unpleasant oxygen thieves about. Glad to hear your car is ok. As for the police......
About 18 months ago I went out of my flat to the car park to find my E36 M3 had been replaced by a pile of broken window glass. The police never even bothered to turn up. Gave me a really nice comforting crime number! I replaced it with my 330d because I figured it was less desirable to the thieving scum bags, even so, I’m still a bit paranoid so I bought a disc lock and always park it with the wheels tight up against the kerb and the rear tight against a fence in the hope they can’t get a jack under to nick the wheels. Sad but true :-(

The police were very good when I had my e36 vandalised whilst parked at a friends house, they did a full forensics of the car & surrounding area including taking prints of the trainer marks left on the bonnet & knocking on doors looking for witnesses.

Not sure what the police are expected to do with no damage to his car or witnesses to somebody possibly throwing a bottle from a black ford Galaxy.

This is awesome! I love to hear things like this. My ex-wife and I had both of our cars broken into the night that we moved into our first apartment together. They stole her medication and our Ray-Ban sunglasses (she had a pair and I had a pair in her car and in mine). Because of the fact that we were moving and it was late, we left a lot of small, personal items in the car. My dumb ass left an autographed copy of Nirvana's Nevermind CD (Signed by Kurt Cobain, Kris Novoselic, David Grohl and Courtney Love) and they made off with it not knowing what they had. I was more upset about the autographed CD than anything as it was irreplaceable. The police did nothing more than file a report. Glad to hear others have had more positive experiences than I have.

Hindsight and all but really you should have jumped in the car and followed & rang the old bill.

I can understand thieves, some not all will be from deprived backgrounds who see it as a way to feed themselves but people who destroy property for no good reason are really the scum of the earth.
