those are even more lol. 150$ infinity kappas were MORE than enough quality for my in my last car. i cant justify spending 550+ shipping on a set of these even though im sure they sound better

Yea I'll go to $300 the max for speakers. Well for this setup of course. Since I'm trying to keep a oem look and keep it simple.

So there is a infinity kappas version for the e90

yup! going with the MB quart 3 ways.

Talked to MB quart today. so the deal is... hook em up oem and change nothing else you should be fine. However, with aftermarket amp solutions, give them a full range signal and they are good for 40W for each (40w component, 40 subwoofer). BUT, if you high pass the components at around 150hz and hi/low pass the subwoofers at 30-150hz , you can give them the full 75W 4ohm each.

So thats why people are getting confused. Give them the correct freq range and you can pump them up, give them a full signal, and they cant take it nearly as much.

The quart amp has the hi and low pass for each signal , however i dont trust the quart amp nearly as much as the JL. So i'll be going with the JL 400/4v2 off ebay for around 200-220. Ill run the fronts and underseats with a channel each. Remove the rear speakers completely.

I was driving home and set the fader all the way to the front and it barely made a difference. with my infiniti coupe when the rear deck speakers were 6x9's and the car was shorter it seemed to make a much larger difference to me.

I trust Jl-Audio more then MBQuart in amps but idk maybe the speakers work better with the same brand amp ?? The prices are pretty low on the MBQuart amps like 2000watts 4 channels for $200 idk man doesn't sound like its a good amp

I have had good luck with the current MB Quart amplifiers. I've had a 50x4 and a 100x2 and both have performed well, sound very good, and work reliably for reasonable money. I've used very expensive amplifiers in the past, and these have been just fine for your daily driver's system.

Thank you. So I'm thinking, should I get a six channel amp two front doors channel 1,2 the two backs to channel 3,4 and the two underseats to 5,6 . In this situation two RCA's are needed for front and back ( u get fade option )

Or

4 channel amp ,left front and back channel 1. Right front and back channel 2 and channel 3,4 with under the seat speakers.

Would I have to run wire from the back speaker to the front door to connect it in the crossover so it could get signal for midrange only ?
???????

In the jl audio amp u can change for a certain channel could be low pass only I'm guessing that helps if I'm connecting the two speakers under the seat in channel 3,4

I wanted to buy the xd600/6 but since I found this amp I'll save some money now and then I can always buy the other amp and change it if anything.

That's 75 watts per channel. The subs are 8 watts right ? I wonder if it's still enough juice.

For the doors I thing 75 watts each is ok

You can run it in parallel with the full door, the rear mid just won't be able to play the highs at any real volume unless you swap to a coax, you'll use the amp to high pass the whole signal out of the mid bass range.

Remember the speakers will be splitting the power equally. Your limiting factor will probably be the power handling of the rear mids. I recommend you at least try leaving the rears on the HU and just amp the front doors.

The Match and MBQ speaker sets are very similar, I believe made in the same factory. Either will be an upgrade over the OEM speakers.

Your JL 4-channel amp would work very well with really any of the speaker systems you chose to power the door components and underseat woofers. 75W right under your ass will make a pretty solid amount of sound.

The MB Quart set is just an unbeatable price right now, heck it's the same price as either a set of components OR a set of earthquakes by themselves.

EDIT: Screw it, I just bought a set. Was $400-500 on amazon just last fall before getting discontinued:

just grabbed a set too! picked em up off VMinnovations for 220. i kinda want make a build thread becuase im most likely gonna make a custom fiberglass box in a month or two for a sub.
but so far...
stage 1
QM200.3BMW 3 ways - 220$
JL XD 400/4v2 4 channel - 285$
Technic PnP harness - 135$ (i think, getting the amp kit with it)

So for 640$ im getting fronts and underseats amped.

then stage 2
10/12" sub - 110/130 (thinking JL again)
JL XD 300/1v2 - 320 not on sale
custom fg box - 100
amp wiring 25

now i gotta go get my head unit recoded !
